We chose that cruise for its itinerary on the Mediterranean. We'd already been to most of the places, except Rhodes and Israel. We started with three days in Rome and stayed in Athens for a week at the end of the cruise. We got to Civitavecchia in a shared shuttle which picked us up from the flat we had rented. Embarkation was perfect. We were aboard at twelve, went to the self service restaurant ...
my daughter and i chose this cruise for the itinerary and the journey (spa cabin). Thanks to a member of cruise critic we booked 2 10 hr. day trips to jerusalem from ashod and took the 3rd day in haifa to rest our guide had an ma in archeokogy and provided great info cheaper than a celebrity shore excursion. we booked 2 b2b cruises so we had 6 days in israel pompeii was on my ...
My adult daughter and I booked almost 2 years before the sailing date because of the itinerary. It is not easy to find a ship that makes these ports of call in one sailing. I like Celebrity.
It was easy to get around the ship as well as embarking and disembarking. Everything went so smoothly and quickly. We choose an inside cabin on a lower deck because we like walking the stairs for exercise, ...
Traveled with my mom. This was on her bucket list. When i found it on a travel site i've used before for a decent price, I called to alert her. She jumped at the chance to go.
FLIGHT: We flew from NYC to Budapest, to get 2 days of Budapest in before the cruise. We made the HUGE mistake of flying Alitalia "Magnifica" Business Class. Alitalia -- never again. The flight attendants in ...
We went on this Celebrity Infinity cruise with several friends from our church who were all very interested in seeing the Holy Land. As I'd previously had a marvelous experience with Celebrity to Bermuda in 1995--indeed, of nine or so cruises I had taken, they were my favorite (prior to Royal Caribbean's acquisition of the company in 1997). So, it was quite a surprise to get to the ship terminal ...
This was our first time cruising with Celebrity having cruised many times previously with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and once on MSC. We mainly chose this cruise for the ports visited as all the places sounded very interesting.
The ship is definitely showing its age and is in need of some renovations but most common areas were clean and comfortable so that was fine. We liked how ...
The boat is a bit older but had some really nice unique things, like in the blu dining room you could see out from every seat, the bar kept curtains open later and the ocean view cafe was spread out so flowed better. They also left salad bar open longer which is great if you got back later in the day. The need to reconfigure the spa and Persian gardens.spa rooms were too bright the Persian garden ...
Horrible dining room management and mediocre customer service basically ruined our cruise.
I'll start with the Positives:
Good price and value proposition
Great itinerary with thoughtful destinations
Good ship
Good stateroom service
Can have a great time without buying lots of extras
Great food
We did this as a big anniversary trip, but also needed to do it on a budget. ...
We sailed as a family with two girls aged 12 and 14. Previously we have sailed with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Holland America and Princess. This was one of our top three cruises and the food and service in the main dining room was the best we have received on any cruise. The food was consistently very good every day except on the last day when the medium rare steak I requested was served well ...
This was my first cruise with Celebrity. I wanted to try the line and wanted a 7 day Med on a small-medium ship so Infinity fit the bill. I was a bit apprehensive when I read some reviews (especially as my husband is not a cruise lover and has to be dragged on one).
The words "old, dated, tired" kept going round in my head from other reviews. But it goes to show you should keep an open mind...I ...
