"Along the same lines, the toilets (while empty) would not flush for 10-15 minute increments, again with no explanation (happened 3x on our 7 day journey)
The excursions: between us our fellow passengers, we heard about a snorkeling excursion where there was no fish and just a big rock to look at, a vineyard that passengers were told was 30 minutes away from the port by the shore excursion staff that was really 90 minutes EACH WAY, and absolute chaos when it came to boarding the excursions in the theatre most days.Oceanview (the bad): The staff at late night pizza would watch a line congregate around 1am (closing time), and leave people who had been waiting in line for 15-20 minutes without pizza...."Read More

1-10 of 16 Rome (Civitavecchia) to Europe Celebrity Edge Cruise Reviews
The ship is nice.
I had a solo cabin which was very good/comfortable for 1 person.
The service on the ship was good, The ship is very clean.
The unlimited internet package was fast.
I could not eat the food in the main restaurants. The quality was not acceptable.
Breakfast however was ok. But its ridiculous that you have to pay for a cappuccino for Breakfast.
The drinks ...
After having been on 10+ cruises, some parts of the Celebrity Edge are among the best and some are among the worst.
Let’s start with the positives.
Eden: This restaurant is gorgeous, the menu is creative, the views (looking through all glasses windows of the aft) are immaculate and the cocktails are straight from a luxury NYC cocktail bar. The food was the best in on the ship
The ...
I selected this cruise because the locations it sailed to. The time of year was fine - 1 day of rain, unfortunately when we went to Positano and Sorrento. Due to the rain, we only had 30 minutes in Positano so hard to site-see, shop, etc. My least favorite stop was Santorini - very crowded and on that day there were 'only' 4 cruise ships; Akrotiri was interesting and our guide very knowledgable. ...
After our previous cruise last year on Silhouette which we really enjoyed, we were really looking forward to the Edge class and also Retreat onboard !!! We had also just completed a back to back on Harmony in Suite Class, so our expectations were high.
How dissapointed we were on this cruise, Staff shortages were obvious with queues at most bars, very little table service, no service at all in ...
The itinerary looked good, we were taking friends on their first cruise on our favorite cruise line, and everything augured well.
Although we have taken about 40 cruises most of which have been on Celebrity, we wanted to experience the Edge, particularly since we are also booked on it for next year with our grandchildren.
As usual the service we received was excellent and friendly. ...
The cruise itinerary and ports were fine. Celebrity excursions were too crowded, too long for what was seen, buses were often hot, and guides would not control guests who took 20 minutes when only 10 was allotted for stop.
The new balcony cabin layouts are excellent. We really liked our cabin and the included balcony. However, we missed the sky lounge. The ship was confusing in that it had ...
Very good itinerary on the first of a new class of ship.
There were four restaurant options for grades up to and including Concierge which we interchanged across all four. The menu's for these have a common thread plus 3 regional starters / mains that are special to each restaurant. Restaurant table layouts were excellent and the food/service top class - better than any other Celebrity ship. ...
wanted to try new ship as well as Aqua class instead of concierge.
1. Boarding and Departure - Excellent.
2.Aqua Class cabin - lovely. (could suggest adding a small bathroom/ hand mirror for the ladies - we like to check our back view before leaving the cabin)
3. Sorrento trip - not good. Bus driver had NO KEY to bus bathroom. Horrendous long journey..was supposed to have 3 hours in ...
“The Edge” is Celebrity Cruise Lines first of their newest class of ship, and it’s an exquisite implementation of an unfortunately deeply flawed design concept. It’s really hard to understand what happened here, and the responsibility should sit squarely with its designers. They totally missed the mark, in my opinion. If my tag line above sounds befuddling, read on, and I’ll attempt to clear up ...
We researched and studied for months before booking our honeymoon on the edge. Then we saved for 2 years to be able to do all the things we saw and believed off the marketing. Overall the ship was nice, crew was professional, and we could see the vision...but it all lacked execution.
We are young by cruising standards, we took advantage of all the techy stuff and did all the paperwork online ...
