I have been on 21 cruises, 11 with Celebrity and 10 with RCCL, so I know how Celebrity standards should be and what they weren't on this cruise. The Constellation was built in 2002 and it shows. She is going into refurb in March 2020, but only for cosmetic updates and not mechanical fixes. In the meantime, Celebrity is doing NOTHING to keep the ship in good condition. There is visible rust ...

We chose this cruise due to the ports (Rome, Crete, 3 days Israel, Mykonos, Athens , Naples) and because we liked our cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette in January. This was my 15 cruise (Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Carnival, Holland America)and I believe the Constellation is my favorite ship so far. I enjoyed the easy layout and the general ambiance. It is not a party ship and in ...

Me and my husband plus a group of couples of 11 did the 12-Nights Israel and Mediterranean Cruise aboard Celebrity Constellation from October 30 to November 11, 2018. We are all seasoned cruisers having been cruised for 12 or more times aboard Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival. It’s our first time to cruise with Celebrity. Here are our overall positive and negative comments. Positive ...

Terrible disappointing cruise

It was the worse cruise we have ever been on. On getting to Rome Port the ship wasn’t there due to bad weather which they were aware of 24 hours beforehand. We then had to wait over 6 hours on a hard chair (if you were lucky to get one) and all we were offered was a small bottle of water and a small packet of crackers which they run out of so we only got 1 to share. When we got to our cabin it ...

We chose those cruise because it was going to places that we wanted to visit and also ports we have never been to be. Right from start it was horrific. We arrived at Rome port to find the ship not there. We were told there would be at least a delay of 6 hours due to bad weather. During that wait, which the cruise company were aware of all we were offered was a small bottle of water and a small ...

We chose this cruise line because of the itinerary and that is the only reason, three days in Israel. Three cabins, two generations of cruisers. We have been on lots of cruises, never on Celebrity and never again! Let me start with the positive: big upgraded rooms (we paid for this!) nice staff. Now the negative: we paid to upgrade my parents, we show up at entry, there is no cabin ...

Well firstly I have to apologise as this review is being posted a year after we cruised on the Connie! Anyway I'm finally getting around to reviewing this wonderful ship so here we go! Embarkation was a breeze, we departed out of Civitavecchia (Rome) We headed straight for the Ocean View Bar and buffet while we waited for our luggage to arrive. Sail away was fantastic and there were many ...

We have traveled on Celebrity before and despite some bad experiences gave them another try as the trip looked really good. The ports were great, especially as we did not do any of the ship's excursion tours which we did with others via roll call. The ship itself left a lot to be desired. The service or lack of would be a detriment if you expected more than the bare minimum. We had a Concierge ...

First Time Cruiser

Age 30s

My wife and I were hesitant to go on a cruise given that I have bad motion sickness and we've read all the reviews on how cruise ships are not fun for young adults. I was completely wrong - Celebrity Constellation was fantastic in every aspect. There was not one thing that I would have wanted them to improve on except the gym (please add more free weights and a squat rack). Our cruise director, ...

We chose this cruise specifically to spend 3 full days exploring Israel and the disembarking in Istanbul where we intended to stay for a few extra nights. Booking with Choice Air was ideal since when they cancelled Istanbul, they rebooked our flights from Athens without any fuss or extra charge. The food was fine, and plentiful, and our cabin was immaculate. The fruit was deliciously fresh! ...
