I have been on 21 cruises, 11 with Celebrity and 10 with RCCL, so I know how Celebrity standards should be and what they weren't on this cruise. The Constellation was built in 2002 and it shows. She is going into refurb in March 2020, but only for cosmetic updates and not mechanical fixes. In the meantime, Celebrity is doing NOTHING to keep the ship in good condition. The holiday was part of my wife's 80th birthday celebration.
Having been several cruises with other companies we wanted to try out the Celebrity Cruise line. Also we had never before been through the Suez Canal.

We selected this cruise based on the interesting itinerary from Rome to Abu Dhabi, including a journey through the Suez Canal and a trip to Petra from Aqaba, Jordan. The ports were all a lot of fun and interesting. Several were easy enough to do on our own. Our time was limited in Catania and Muscat, so I wish we were there for more hours.
