We chose this cruise based upon the location in the Mediterranean and the ports and we were very glad we did! Too bad we didn't get to visit Istanbul due to the American restrictions. This was our first Princess cruise on a small ship and we were definitely surprised on how much we enjoyed it. The food has always been over the top, but what we noticed right off was how much more we enjoyed the entertainment on this ship. Our hats off to the entertainment staff. Please personally thank the head waiter (Ejlo?) for making our dining experience extra special. He was fantastic and so was all of his assistants. We did notice that some of the dining area was a little worn and should be updated, otherwise, it was fine. Please see my comments on the smoke that drifted into our cabin below. This was very unfortunate and we wouldn't want another guest to experience this. Read Less

My wife and I decided we needed to revisit a few of the European, and other ports, we had already visited. A kind of follow up. On this cruise I was able to check off three boxes on the Bucket List. The Vatican Museum, Pompeii and Venice, the St Mark's Basilica after hours tour. All were amazing. What has become very clear is that the excursion leader is as important as the excursion. All the the tour guides were passionate about their country's and their destinations. We also visited Sicily, a few Greek isles and others. Due to some unforeseen circumstances we were able to upgrade to a Suite on the Pacific Princess. What a wonderful luxury it was too. This was our first time, and it was worth the extra money, even though it was a deal we couldn't refuse. This ship was clearly very well run. All of the crew were friendly, especially a few of the bartenders we frequented daily. While we no longer care about the formal nights, we enjoyed the buffet area for most of our meals. We prefer to remain causal and eat when we want versus the ship's timetable. We were very pleased with the level of service and destinations on this cruise. Read Less

This cruise included the Amalfi Coast, Sicily, Corfu, Khios, Montenegro, Dubrovnik, Korcula and Koper, Slovenia. Each and every port was just beautiful. Before the cruise began Princess arranged for us to stay 2 nights in Rome at the Savoy Hotel. It was a wonderful hotel at a reasonable price. It was located within walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Parthenon, and Borghese Gardens. The view from the rooftop restaurant at the Savoy was breathtaking. We also arranged for a Princess transfer from the airport to the hotel. We were met at the arrival gate by a Princess agent, then we were taken through customs to the taxi in just a few minutes. The service was terrific and quick. We used Princess tours in Salerno, Sicily, Khios, Dubrovnik, and Koper. Each tour was excellent with professional drivers and tour guides who knew the local area and the history of the area. We really appreciated the driver on the Amalfi Coast tour. The roads there go along the beautiful coast, but are very crowded along the steep cliffs. The cruise was on the Pacific Princess, the smallest ship in the Princess fleet. It was a genuine pleasure to be on this ship. It was easy to get around on board, and it was very easy to get on and off the ship at each port. Even the tender ports were easy. The service on board was great. Our cabin attendant was terrific. The wait staff was wonderful, and the crew was always very helpful. The food on board was truly a delight. Each night, we had a different gourmet delight. We look forward to our next Mediterranean Cruise on the Pacific Princess. Read Less

We had dreamed of going to Italy for many years and this cruise provided us the opportunity to see a large part of Italy for a reasonable price. The excursions were perfect and we stayed in Rome 3 days prior to the cruise and spent 3 extra days in Barcelona on the way home. We had some concerns about the possibility of a Ianguage barrier but the ship's staff and the tour guides made it all very easy! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this European cruise! If you ever get the chance, hop on board, you won't be disappointed! The food on board was good, although we enjoyed eating locally when we were off the ship and we had plenty of opportunity to do so. The on-board activities were the "usual" but still very nice. The cleanliness of the ship itself was beyond reproach, as are all Princess Cruises! Read Less

Took the Eastern Med cruise. Had a great time with many ports of call. Each port provided transportation to where ever you wanted to visit. Our choice were antiquities and we visited many museums and ancient temples. Turkey's and Greece's Island were just great and the view from the mountains in Santorin were breathtaking. We did travel in Istanbul and the travel guide provide historical details for all the stops. We were a disturbed at the problems with the politics and would probably not travel there after the latest news reports. The ship was well manned and the help was very friendly with entertainment every night at sea. They have movie under the stars which enjoyed although a bit brisk at night so you will need a sweater and they provide blankets. The restaurant Santorin on board the ship had the best Italian dinner of the cruise. The Cruise line goes out of their way to make your trip comfortable and the food is well prepared in the cafeteria. Read Less

This was my 51st Cruise!!!!!!!! Love Cruisin'. Been on Princess many times and do love it (but other lines have more new ships). So because I liked the itinerary...I decided to try Caribbean Princess (a small ship). It only has 600+ passengers. (the smallest ship I've ever been on). I loved it! It is older..expect that. But everything is so accessible. My favs are formal night (everyone cleans up nicely for formal night). I personally like a little "bling" now and then. I spent two nights in a hotel in Rome (my travel companion had never been to the Vatican). She was mesmerized by the Vatican Museum (as am I every time I return there). Embarked in Civitevechia. My favorite port is Rhodes. Love all the Greek Islands I've been to: Hydra, Patmos, Somos, Santorini, Mykonos, Crete, etc. But Rhodes is my favorite. It offers great history, and is tremendously clean and inviting! Great food there in the Old Town. I never get tired of Kusadasi/Ephesus. (Good thing..because each time I arrive there..I'm with someone who has never been there). Can't beat the history and very early architecture there. Food in Kusadasi restaurants is very good. Athens has an unfortunate air pollution problem now. I was disappointed in this. In fact, tho I have no history of asthma.. I came down with a severe asthma attack due to auto exhuast pollution. They appear to be using the cheapest (dirtiest) fuel they can get their hands on...due to the economic crisis in Greece. It's so sad because Athens is truly the Cradle of Civilization. Food and Service on Caribbean Princess is excellent. Great Experience! I love the Production Shows...and tho some have told me Princess has cut the length of their Production Shows..I didn't find that to be true. And the talent and costumes are awesome! Hope you enjoy your cruise on Caribbean Princess !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read Less
