Great cruise

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Journey

We chose this cruise because as first time cruisers we knew what we did and didn't want. Very clear that we didn't want the whole rigmarole of tipping which as far as we could see added a lot to the advertised prices. We didn't want to have to dress up so no evening suits or ball gowns (unless you fancied it). Time was another crieteria, as we'd not cruised before we didn't want to be stuck on a ...

Chosen based upon past history. Entertainment was very good in terms of cruise director and entertainment group. Service and friendliness of staff was excellent. No issues at all with embarkation and debarkation. Some of ...

We chose this cruise because of longer stays in ports and the fact that smaller ship allows you to connect with people. While we did connect with people (we met some really nice ones!), the ship skewed about 10 years older than we are (we're in our mid 50's with a child still at home). We'd probably wait 10 more years before going on another Azamara cruise for just this reason. The staff for ...

We were in Civitavecchia 3 years ago. The new port gate is pretty far away from the old one. You have to take the port bus from the old gate to the parking lot then take the ship's shuttle to the ship. Check in was easy and we were upgraded to a balcony cabin. The cabin is small compare to Celebrity but with lots of storage space. The shower area is a joke. I am 5' 9 and is difficult to ...
