Ship was good aimed at families there is a lot to do for the children. As we are used to travelling from Southampton there are a few things to take with you If you smoke there was NO Duty free on board as we did not call at any none EU countrys so take enough to last you until your 1st port of call. All merchandise has to add 18.5 % Vat so can work out more expensive than things look. We eat in the Windjammer due to my milk alleges there is always something i can eat in there but not as much choice as there used to be seems like instead of creasing prices for cruise there are putting less choice . Staff can not do enough for you but you may need to ask if you have alligies . look at booking trips before you go with outer trip companies as RC is appoximatly 30% more expensive. The shows are fair to excellent but this is a matter of fast. Casino i gamble for fun on the tables but not on this ship minimum chip value was 5 us dollers so if you just want to have a flutter then think again. We went on a cheep getaway so no frills state room the room was fine for 7 days .We normal book a suit so lots of things you get as the norm we did not have bur as i said this was a cheep getaway and as we are diamond guests we do have some free extras. Just want to add overall very good value for money superb i will do this ship again Read Less

Staff were lovely - friendly but professional and really helpful. Food in the main dining restaurant was good with a varied selection and always well cooked and presented. As ever on cruises the veg was lacking and under-cooked. The speciality restaurants were generally only half full probably as they are overpriced. Chop's Grill was particularly good and we dines there 3 times. Giovanni's Table was disappointing however with the pasta dishes being very bland. Azumi was really empty and lacking in atmosphere as a result but the food was delicious. RCL should look at reducing the supplements to increase patronage. Entertainment was the poorest I've seen on any cruise ship in over 25 yrs. We only went to the show 3 times - one was the cast which was fairly good but Tango Buenos Aires was a repeat of the show I saw on this ship 2 years ago and The Zoots was simply rubbish. Nothing like the standard that I've seen on NCL, Celebrity and Costa in the past. The only port on the tour that I hadn't been to was Ravenna and I was really disappointed. No taxis in port! Waited 40 mins and gave up. Ended up paying 22USD each for a shuttle into town. Others paid 129USD for a trip to the beach to end up on the public beach that was literally 10 mins walk from the ship! We've sailed on Celebrity's other ships a few times now. Always enjoyable. First time on 'Connie'. Beautiful places visited. Fantastic butler for our Sky Suite. Likewise stateroom attendant, and everyone in the suite restaurant and in the suite lounge. But there were a few hiccups. Celebrity were very good at apologising, and we appreciated that. It was nevertheless odd to be turned away from suite-class embarkation, being told that we didn't count as suite class, so had to queue with everyone else. A mistake, but not a good one. It was also a bit of a situation in the Oceanview Café. This has been a real treasure on other ships in the fleet. Here, we did all we could to avoid it. Unfriendly staff who pretended people didn't exist. Awful food choice. I know it's only a 'quick bite' experience, not a main restaurant - but it was so noticeable as a difference. As someone who has to avoid particular ingredients because of illness, it was a nightmare to find anything to eat up there. That wasn't the case on other ships. Connie also could really do with her refit for 2017. Although our own room and balcony was lovely, there were signs of wear and tear in areas. As a disabled passenger (autistic), the information on board was very good and I felt comfortable not having to ask for extra assistance. So, we loved the suite experience. But agree with some others that it'd be easy to make this a five star experience all round. Read Less
