Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Journey

I am currently 2/3 of the way through the Greece intensive cruise on the Azamara Journey. Even though the cruise is not done the first part has been so stellar that I am certain that unless the boat sinks in the next three days (which I think it is extremely unlikely to do) the rest of the itinerary will be just as wonderful. Overall this was a super great cruise, and I would very much ...

What a disorganized mess

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Escape

This cruise was ok until I relied on the app we were asked to download. We were told to follow all the information on the app. I had an excursion time of 8:45 on the app. But apparently I was supposed to check the paper ticket to make sure they didn't screw it up. On the ticket it said meeting time 8:15 and departure 8:45 I got to the meeting place around 8:35 but the tour left early. Why is there ...

Poor, awful and never again

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Caribbean Princess

On the carribean princess with princess cruises now from Southampton to Norway and Iceland, by far the the worst company and ship I’ve been on. Food is ok, entertainment awful the worst I’ve ever seen, it’s old and dated and falling apart considering it was suppose to have had a refurbished and now we cannot get into Iceland because of 30knot winds whereas if this was a good ship they would find a ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

Let’s start with embarkation. So old school we had a princess grill suite and expected priority embarkation as promised. Well yes you get to jump the massive que outside the terminal only to get stuck in a que inside the terminal where you have to do old school manual and painful checking. Next you then have to wait in a seating area before you are allowed to board the ship. When you ...

Great cruise

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Splendida

MSC has great quality of both service, food, entertainment, modernity of the ship for the price. You can't expect the level of Azamara or the latest ships like Icon of the Seas if you pay for a cruise even 300 or 400 for 7 days. I've been on five MSC cruises and they all completely delighted me, the service is phenomenal and classy. Very nice, everyone smiles at every step, helps. A very large ...

Mostly good, and lovely staff

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Viking Idun

This is definitely the best way to see several cities in a shorter period of time (without packing and unpacking). I personally would prefer to spend more time exploring each port on my own in order to get a feel for each town. The servers and cabin attendants were fantastic. One HUGE negative was the total miscommunication of where the ship was docked for embarkation. That really put a negative ...

I really thought the level of service and food quality would be better. We had a few good meals aboard but overall the quality of dining was just average. Only two entrees offered each night, small portions, and uninspired sauces and sides. Breakfast was repetitive, but maybe the best meal of the day. The Breakfast "Special" was a poached egg on two days of the cruise. Really, a poached egg? We ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Crystal Symphony

The ship is lovely and the suite was spacious and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. The housekeeping staff did a terrific job as our room was always impeccably clean. The butler seemed stretched too thin; was unable to help with unpacking. The food was very good. Not exceptional but very good. The service at the buffet was excellent; best we’ve ever experienced at a cruise buffet. The ...

Celebrity Loyalists Try Royal

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

As noted in the title. My wife and I are Celebrity people, but the itinerary finally created our first trip on Royal. Also, we are empty nesters not traveling with children. Keep these two factors in mind since they heavily influence our opinion. Overall - Great cruise, great trip, and a great time. Would do Royal again but will lean towards Celebrity. We did have an itinerary change due ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Ventura

User Avatar

We were a bit afraid of traveling as we heard about the norovirus bug going on on Ventura on the previous trip before ours. We received an email from P&O advising us that boarding was running 4 hours behind so we needed to get to the terminal 4 hours after our original boarding time. As we do not live anywhere close to Southampton, we decided to leave early, and due to the fact we got to ...
