    Hi Everyone,

We are back from our Panama Canal cruise. It was great but I tripped getting off an elevator on the first week of the 14 day cruise. The tip of my shoe caught the frame and down I went! Split open my lip and wrecked my knee. Sort of put a damper a little bit on the cruise. The lip is now healed and getting a cortisone shot in the knee on Monday. I will be fine for this cruise (hopefully) and will definitely step higher getting off an elevator!

Why don't we start a roll call for this cruise.

Just reserved on the Nov 27 cruise with our big extended family of 13 people: grandparents, 3 siblings(parents) and their families.  Wanted to do something as a big family but couldn't find anything in the next 12 months that would fit everybody's work/school schedule, and still have a reasonable price, until we stumbled on this one.  Never cruised on HAL, but Platinum on RCCL, Gold on Celebrity and Carnival.

Does anybody have recommendation on good value shore excursion?  (We don't usually book through the ship, but try to find local tour operators.)

We have booked the 7 day cruise, leaving on November 27th.  This will be our 3rd  Holland cruise.  Looking forward to it.  We really don't plan activities, just enjoy the cruise itself.  We have found we prefer the older, smaller, quieter ships.  I believe Holland retains some of the 'classic' cruising.
