Offered to bet with my travel consultant that the cruise would be cancelled. She wouldn't take me up on it. I predict that one of two "things" will occur: the virus will have peaked and will slowly diminish OR we have a problem, Houston!! a real big problem. I've got two more sailings scheduled for this year: August & December. Only time will tell.

Sailing empty from Bangkok? WOW!! lots of lost revenue. Who knows what Regent has planned. Train to Rome? Interesting hypothesis.

We must be on the same news feed, Len!  I just told my husband the same thing!  Who knows, we may not be departing from Venice.   There is a gap in the Voyager schedule after it arrives in Rome and then arrives in Venice....this means either a charter or a voyage for the industry, or maintenance.  I doubt maintenance as it is sailing empty from Bangkok and a lot can be done in a month.  Perhaps we will be forced to take the train to Rome...or Marseille.....or wherever!  I think I’m a little ahead of myself.  Deep breath...we have two months for this to play out.

Just read that Venice cancelled their annual festival because of the corona virus. Seems Northern Italy has been hit hard. Hope the virus doesn't force Regent to cancel our sailing. Need to think positive.👍

All the lounges are lovely and have their own ambiance.  If the weather is warm, we love the outside area in the Horizon lounge.   Relaxing to watch the sun set with a glass of bubbly in hand.  We are also in the observation lounge a lot but sometimes the music is too robust for conversation...same with the Voyager lounge.   Depends on the time of day or night I guess.  If you want more details about regent, feel free to email me at forgap at Bellsouth dot net.

Funny, we lived in the Bay Area 40 years ago!  Long story!
