    Hi Sandy and Steve:

Great to hear from you. Where do you live on Rittenhouse Square? It's a small world because I'm originally from Philly suburbs and lived in Center City many years ago.

We are actually going on United from Newark, nonstop, to BA on 12/3 and will arrive on Wednesday morning, 12/4. We fly back to Newark from Rio, connecting in Sao Paolo, which will save us three hours of waiting in Houston for the connection.

I have booked a wonderful three day tour hotel package with a wonderful young man who works for a group highly recommended by another guest who has used them before. They were very responsive and the hotel and three days of tour highlights were very reasonable. BA is not like NY or Paris for sure.

Do you have your tours set up? If you want more information, let me know. We can meet up while we are there.

As for the Mariner, we were on it two years ago for New England tour. It was renovated right after that and I hear it looks great. My sister's friends from Newtown Square were on it for 3 weeks to Asia six months ago.

The other ships have really large bathrooms, but the Mariner's is a standard size for a cruise ship. However, the bedroom suites are large with balconies and the closet space is great. It has a different layout than the others, which is fine. The elegance of the decor is the same as the other ships.

As I said in my early post, we are big Regent fans and have enjoyed every cruise we've been on. No complaints from us.

If you'd like to correspond directly, you can contact me at sharonhar@aol.com and I'll give you my phone number.

    Regards,

    Sharon

    Hi all:

We are on the 12/7/19 Mariner cruise from Buenos Aires to Rio. This will be our 9th Regent cruise, second on the Mariner. We have been on all four ships and all are great. Mariner was not originally a Regent ship so the suite bathrooms are much smaller than others. But, everything else is wonderful.

We are big Regent fans and have met some wonderful people that we have traveled with since. This time, we are traveling alone and would like to introduce ourselves. We are from southern New Jersey, about 15 minutes from the beach and less than an hour from Philadelphia-my hometown. Norman is a Brooklyn boy. We will probably fly out of Philly through Miami to BA and then returning from Rio. I haven't made those plans yet.

We are going in a couple of days early because we've never been to Buenos Aires and heard it is fabulous. I'm working on doing some private touring before we board the ship on Saturday, 12/7. Anyone doing the same? Any suggestions? Friends have said to allow two good days for sure.

We'd love to hear from fellow travelers and start a dialogue.

    Thanks. Sharon and Norman

Hi Sandy and I are on the same cruise 12/7. Never been on Regent before. We live in Philadelphia at Rittenhouse square. Steve is also originally from Brooklyn,  We are coming in a couple of days early to BA on Delta from Philadelphia via Atlanta and back from Rio on Delta also. Also spend time in Cape May during summer etc. Would like to hear more about the Mariner. never used forum before I hope this contact works. So is this the way to respond to you. Correct us if incorrect.

     Thanks, Sandy and Steve

    Hi Bill:

Just to let you know, I spoke to Axel at Argentina on the Go and he quickly designed a customized tour for us in BA and countryside. If anyone else out there is looking to jump on to a three-day private tour, let me know. We can split part of it. It seems that BA is so much more reasonable than other cities. Thanks for the recommendation. They have great reviews online.

Bill if you want to give me your email, I'll pass the information along. I put out my email, but in case anyone wants to contact me directly, it is sharonhar@aol.com

I'm working on airfare and once I put a deposit on the tour, I'll be able to have my dates confirmed.

    Thanks.

    Sharon

Thanks so much. I can't make any airline reservations until we figure out what to do.

My tour is for 8 nights / 9 days and was completely built for what I wanted to see and do. They will customize a tour based on your requirements.

I don’t think we’re supposed to tout travel or tour companies on here, but if you e-mail me I’ll be happy to share my consultant’s info.
