    Well the good news of living in the DC area is that we have cherry trees galore (and tourists to see them).  But seriously.   It like leaves in the fall.  All kinds of weather factors come into play when looking for peak bloom or peak color.    Unless you travel at the drop of they hat, it’s a crap shoot if you get to see them the year you plan for.

    Don't I know that.  We live in Southern California and have made 2 trips east to see the fall colors only to be disappointed.  Then on a 3rd trip (from DC to South Carolina) we saw amazing fall colors - and we hadn't even planned on - a pleasant surprise!

    I have booked a private 4 hour evening tour with Tours by Locals on our last night in Tokyo to take the train out of the city to see the 200 yr old Wisteria Tree that is in Ashikaga Flower Park.

    Well, one good thing is you'll have a better chance at seeing the Cherry Blossoms.

    We arrive on 4/14/19 and will be about one week too late to see them!  I guess they will be blooming this year from end of March to April 13.

    If I had known I would've booked earlier flights to see them.  But, hubby is still working and he already put up a stink about being gone 17 days!

    2019 is departing from Tokyo.

    2021 is departing from Yokohama.

    That’s a disappointing change for me when I changed cruises.

    Hi,

    I would appreciate if someone could please confirm if this is still the case since strangely the paperwork that we have received from Regent Australia gives Harumi as our start/end.

    Jean

    Harumi = Central Tokyo
