All kinds of weather factors come into play when looking for peak bloom or peak color. Unless you travel at the drop of they hat, it’s a crap shoot if you get to see them the year you plan for.
Don't I know that. We live in Southern California and have made 2 trips east to see the fall colors only to be disappointed. Then on a 3rd trip (from DC to South Carolina) we saw amazing fall colors - and we hadn't even planned on - a pleasant surprise!
I have booked a private 4 hour evening tour with Tours by Locals on our last night in Tokyo to take the train out of the city to see the 200 yr old Wisteria Tree that is in Ashikaga Flower Park.
