    neophyte,

Yes, we booked with Blue Puffin back in November.  On April 1st we cancelled and received a full refund the next day.  Hope things work out for you.

    Anne Marie and fellow cruisers,

I called Seabourn yesterday after seeing our July 4 cruise back up on their website.  The agent told me ours is still an "active" cruise.  My personal theory is they are cancelling cruises through the end of June but hoping to restart in July.  Which is why the June 27 Stockholm Baltic cruise would be cancelled.  However, hope continues to dwindle for our July 4 cruise.

I am curious Anne Marie.  Did Seabourn ask you if you wanted to do only the July 4 round trip Copenhagen cruise to the fjords?

    Catherine,

No, we were not asked about the next segment.  Our cruise was booked as a 21day sailing, it was not a b2b.  I’m assuming that the July 4 cruise will be cancelled in the next round.  It’s probably just a matter of pacing  the refund process.  Of course, the delay also provides room for more passenger cancellations.  In those cases, Seabourn doesn’t have to offer the cash refund, just FCC.

Hope we’ll meet next year!  Stay well.

    Anne Marie

    Greetings fellow cruisers,

Like everyone else, I have been following the effect of Covid-19 on cruise travel.  If it is safe, we definitely still want to take this cruise, especially since we would have to wait an entire year to be able to go again.  I have noticed that our cruise is no longer listed on Seabourn's site for July cruises to Europe.  Only the July 18 cruise shows up.  And I am sure that our cruise is not sold out as I was contacted about upgrading, and they had upgrade choices for a lot of the more expensive categories.  (We declined the upgrade to a penthouse suite for an additional $5000.)  Of course, Seabourn just has to wait to see if the situation improves in the next 2-1/2 months.

Our travel advisor is swamped so I have left her alone.  Have any of you heard any additional information from your travel advisor or from Seabourn itself?

    Thanks,

    Catherine

Today we received notification from Seabourn that our June 27 (21 day Stockholm to Copenhagen)  cruise is cancelled.  I assume that those of you who were embarking in Copenhagen will be notified in the next round of cancellations.

Hope we’ll be able to meet everyone next year.  Stay safe.
