We are booked on this cruise, too.  Last cruise we took to Ireland with Seabourn, I arranged many private tours (4-6 people, mostly) and found they were all excellent.  With 4 people, the cost was about the same as the Seabourn offerings, but the private tours were much better -- flexible with our own guide.  I'll probably start looking for these soon.  I found toursbylocals.com a very good source and organized by our ship's stops, so it's easy to see what they have to offer.  Often, better cancellation/refund policies than Seabourn, too.

Others like viator.com with some success; I've also used them, but I had some problems in the past, so I prefer toursbylocals.com.

If anyone is interested in joining up, let me know.  We can start to investigate and book.

    Bart,

We are on this cruise. Just booked a private tour for Tangier, August 6th, with Tangier Excursions.com . Great experience while sounding them out but it was not needed. They have a wonderful reputation, see TA for reviews, catered to our needs as to places we wanted to visit, pretty much the norm for their Luxury Day Tour of Tangier with a couple of added needs. Pick up at 09:00 drop off back at ship 16:00. Give their website a peruse .

Having never been to Gibraltar (or Portimao) I don't mind the change. I have been to Morocco before and was pick pocketed and ransomed to a certain extent another time so yes a reputable guide would be good.

Maybe a little ahead of myself but time flies, so they say. Notified today of an Itinerary change already, Aug 5 Portimao, Portugal is now Gibraltar 08:00 - 23:00. Seeing as we have been a number of times, and seen all of the offerings in Gibraltar I am looking for alternatives. Ship tours are not yet listed but past experiences tell me there will be no surprises just local tours.

Hence I have started to look for something a wee bit more appealing, waiting on some feedback.

Also, our visit to Morocco looks tempting for a good local guide from a reputable company, we will see.

Always good to sail with Seabourn.
