SFO to Tokyo would be ok with me.  I’d be willing to ride along. Let us know i you hear anything, please. Who do we contact on this?

Friends:   There is still some hope, as "Regatta" still needs to sail (October 2020) from its current anchorage near Oakland in SFO Bay area and get to Tokyo for the following leg of the cruise "Down Under" to Australian waters.    My guess is that Oceania is currently "planning" to get the ship and some crew over to TOKyo to commence the cruise from Yokohama to SINgapore and onward to SYDney, so they might offer some staterooms for sale from LA or SFO to Tokyo in October (but not via Canada or Alaska).

Let's wait and see what transpires.   Meanwhile, keep washing hands with warm, soapy water to wreck the surfaces of any Coronavirus.

The October 2021 itinerary looks positive, and we might all have a vaccine by then.

I received my cancellation notice but they are offering an alternative itinerary going out October 2. I haven't seen an itinerary on this but have called the travel agent to see how I can transfer everything over.

The alternative cruise is for 2021

I just received my e-mail notifying me of the cancellation and the offer of a 125% credit to apply to a future cruise in lieu of a refund.  We have a Hong Kong to Tokyo cruise booked for next March, so we will apply it to the final payment of that cruise, which would be due in October.  We are disappointed, but not surprised.

While we did cancel our cruise and rebook for next year, I am wondering what you all know about what it will be like to cruise this Fall? How do you social distance on a ship? Will masks be required? What will change on the ship? What will it be like to get off the ship? Will folks in other countries be afraid that we will bring virus to them. Am thinking about the British travelers who just brought new cases to New Zealand after they had had zero.

While I am fully aware this is a first world problem, I am so heartbroken that we can't take this trip. I keep thinking....lets just go cruising until it's all over, but that is just a crazy thought, I know!!

Hope you are all faring well enough...

    Kim
