I found this tour with Cornwall Tours and I am looking for 2-6 more to join my DH and I.  Let me know if you want to join us. Diane

Full Day Tours for Cruise Ship Passengers

for one person on their own... or up to 8 people.

1-4 people 275 pounds for the day

5-8 people 300 pounds for the day

An individual, intimate look at the very best of Cornwall... the country lanes, the hidden creeks, the windy headlands, see St Michael's Mount, Land's End, The Lizard... get to know fascinating, forgotten but unforgettable Cornwall... and go where you choose!

We pick you up at the quayside at the earliest convenient time and deliver you back to the quayside in comfortable time for re-embarkation.

What we can do and see is, of course, governed by time, distance and your re-embarkation time (!), and within those limitations we will take you wherever you would like to go.

A typical day's tour from a cruise ship would be as follows:-

We usually go off around Pendennis Castle (which you see on the way in... built by King Henry VIII circa 1540), go on to the Helford river (scene of Daphne du Maurier's 'Frenchman's Creek'), perhaps over to The Lizard (Britain's most southerly point), on to St Michael's Mount (historic castle on an island, worth a visit, and one of Cornwall's premier attractions... see St Michael's Mount website), on to Penzance, then Mousehole (old fishing village), Merry Maidens (stone age stone circle), the Minack Theatre (cliffside amphitheatre see the Minack Theatre website), Land's End, Lanyon Quoit (stone age dolmen see Lanyon Quoit website) and St Ives (see St Ives website). With everything dependent on time available and your own preferences.

Price covers everyone and everything except meals and entrance to attractions...

Does anyone know if this is a tender port?

My Husband and I are planning to take this tour/transfer back to London after the cruise on the 17th.  We would like to do the tour with the sightseeing in Canterbury, but are also open to the stop at Leeds Castle, as well.  We would like to find one or two other couples to join us as it would be very cost effective for all.  Our flight leaves on Sunday the 18th from Heathrow and we have reserved a hotel at the airport.  With one other couple we would do the Mercedes option and with two we would do the VW Transporter.  Please email me if you are interested.  jezabel2924 at att dot net.

After delaying as long as possible I booked with Saga Tours today for Hazel and myself to join the August 10  "Golden Circle Small Group  from Reykjavik Port" and the August 12 "Lake Myvatn from Akureyri Port" tours initially arranged by Teacher Plus (Diane and Bob). I was in communication with Tinna from Saga Tours and she advised that the minimum numbers have been reached for each tour and that they were filling up. The maximum is 19 per tour so I suggest that you don't leave it too long before booking (and paying!. Use the promo code  CRUISESHIPS2019  to get the 10% discount.

David and Kathy, sounds great.  I hope you will join us in Akureyri.  We still need two more for Reykjavik.  Look at post 95.
