    Hi All!

We are Jean and Ron Higgins from London, travelling from Dubai to Cape Town with hotel stays booked at both the beginning and at the end of the cruise.  I have only just logged on to Cruise Critic, but we would be very interested in joining any private excursions that members have arranged.  I know from experience that there is no point trawling through all the previous messages as I suspect they will already be out of date.  So, if you have 2 more spaces available on a tour you are organising and do not mind having a couple of Brits come along with you, please post a reply and I will get back to you ASAP.  Thank you.  Ron

    Hi jean and ron

Just in our 1st port of call so hoping this message get to you. Im not sure which list you were referring 2 as i can't access the spreadsheet.  Could you take your names off it for me.

I will let the tour company know you will join us

My email is could you try Resending me an email.

Not sure when I'll next have wifi again

Look forward to meeting you both

    Cheers Lynne

Lynne, I just boarded Royal ship today for 14 day cruise.  Any chance we're on the same vessel?

I just thought that if you were on the cabin crawl you just opened your room as the crawl went along, we are more than happy to show our cabin. Do you think others might think the same?

An organized cabin crawl follows an orderly flow with a pre-planned route from cabin to cabin, with minimal walking/back-tracking.  Small groups depart from a pre-arranged location at regular intervals so that large groups don't clog the hallways and cabins.  It is also arranged so that cabin hosts can participate in the crawl and visit other cabins, if they wish to do so.  There is a lot of organization involved in advance for everything to run smoothly.  At some point, we will close the cabin crawl to new participants (crawlers and hosts) so that a sensible route can be planned and small groups arranged. I would encourage people to consider being cabin hosts; it is always great to have a variety of cabins available for viewing, although the Spirit does not have the variety of cabins that larger ships may have.  We also try to avoid duplication of cabin types on the tour - no need to see six balconies of the same configuration on Deck 10. 😉  On the spreadsheet, we currently have the two very different and unique cabins on the list - 10686 and 9703.  How cool is that!  It would be nice to have oceanview cabins - porthole and picture windows, an aft balcony, etc., any type that is not already offered.  Thanks so much to those who have stepped forward and thanks to chaywest for prompting me to provide a better explanation.  (Sorry for the late response; I just arrived home from the October 24 sailing on the Jade.)

    Hi taffy52 ,
Thank you for your kind offer to join your group on the Nosy Be group tour.  Please consider us in.  I sent an email as you requested but it bounced right back to me.  Hence this post.  I have added our names to your list on the Cruise Critic web site as requested.  I assume it is the correct one?  Have a great cruise wherever you are and please confirm when you get an internet service.  Looking forward to meeting you.
