    1. Did you encounter any delay in your regular Italian train ride or did it arrive at the port on time?

    2. From the Civitavecchia train station, did you walk to the main entrance and then take a free shuttle bus to the NCL ship? If so, approximately how many minutes for us to plan?

    1. No, we didn't encounter any delays with the trains. (But we planned in a lot of time as buffer ...)

    2. I can't exactly remember, but I think we walked 600m from train station to the port entrance at Forte Michelangelo and then took the free shuttle bus. It's not very difficult, you always see lots of cruise passengers with their luggage - just follow the masses 🙂

    Hello Fellow Cruisers,

the two uf us (from Germany) will be with you at this cruise and this is our 8th NCL cruise. We already did a cruise out of Rome - Civitavecchia in 2014. For the airport transfer we just used the regular Italian train to Civitavecchia (see fares/time tables: https://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en). From Civitavecchia train station its about 800m to the cruise port.

Looking forward to cruise with you 🙂

    Stefan

For information only and in case you may find this useful

I am browsing and doing some research on Pisa and Florence.

The below link shows that the return transfer from Livorno Port to Florence and Pisa is Euro 40.00

The reviews seem to be good.

    http://www.mediterranean-cruise-ports-easy.com/livorno-to-florence.html

In Florence - top things to visit or walking ; Florence Central market, Piazza del Duomo, Bassilica of Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio.

Pisa - one hour should be enough.
