So sad that our May 10 cruise is now cancelled.  So much planning.  Thankful I can get a refund from NCL now, well eventually from them.  Will rebook but probably not til next year.

unfortunate but understandable... I’m reckoning the biggest risk for me is if Ireland goes under quarantine or my home county. My GP is the “health professional”  in the west of Ireland who developed the virus on returning from a ski holiday in Italy along with his family. The idiots in the HSE told him to go back to work even though he told them he’d been in northern Italy, sure enough a week later he comes down with the virus. By which time he’d had a weeks worth of clinic hours and a day in a&e, only after that did the HSE think .. uhh maybe our employees coming back from hotspots should self isolate for a couple of weeks, meanwhile he’s been getting dogs abuse online.

I think I've been talking to you on the Facebook page. I can't understand the HSE what are the playing at. I do feel so sorry for that doctor he was only going by the advice he was given. I have to say we booked through click and go and they have been outstanding in cancelling. The only thing we are losing is the flights, we are getting 20% FCC and the rest back on our card. As regards the flights let's hope the follow aer lingus and do the free change policy.

Hiya, That all sounds such fun. Unfortunately we have postponed the cruise until the end of September. There are three people in the group with underlying health problems so it isnt worth the risk. Hope you have a ball.

we shall have to meet up! On my first cruise there was another Irish solo also on their first cruise, I also met a couple from Donegal and heard about 2 older ladies that were seasoned casino cruisers, I wound up doing a reel during howl at the moon on the final night. On my second the only other Irish person was one of the girls working in the spa, her parents had been on the previous week to refresh her accent and one of her Scottish colleagues was convinced she knew me from somewhere.  On my last cruise I ran into an Irish priest on the last night based in California whose nephew I knew from surf contests.  The other solo cruisers were constantly letting me know if they found any other Irish on the ship.
