We are going to get the city bus don’t mind walking mile or two to save money.

To think one week today we will be onboard.

Pretty much landed on that (city bus) as well.  Guess we'll have to start thinking about what to pack.

Hi. Booked this somewhat last minute. Live just outside Vancouver so no flying. Doing back to back. This will be my 14th Alaska cruise so if any questions I can most likely help. Love Alaska. First time going solo since my husband passed away. Would love an upgrade but nothing so far. Would love to met some of you. Only a week to go now. Raining today, but is sunny after this for at least the next 10 days.

Welcome to a somewhat quiet roll call Warriorchick.  Better late than never as they say.  Have you taken the city bus in Juneau to Mendenhall (appears the closest it gets to the park is a mile and a half away)?  For the price (cheap) seems to be a good way to go (lots of noise on another forum on the gouging the taxi companies are doing).  Don't much on our excursion bucket list as we're looking forward to mostly watching the scenery go by and strolling the towns (even if they are more touristy than not).

No, sorry I did the ships tour of Mendenhall, salmon hatchery and others. I'm sure the bus is a good way to go if all you want to see is the glacier. I could not believe how much it had melted the last time i saw it. The first time 35 years ago it was right a the lakes edge and you could walk on it. Not sure how far away now as it as been 9 years since I saw it last. Was in Alaska 5 years ago, but did not go there.
