I did find out that we will have three Gala Nights on our cruise. I'm guessing they will be on our sea days. Does anyone know which nights? I'd like to make ressies for Tamara and Pinnacle Grill for non Gala nights.

Hello all and welcome Suzie59, elin 5714 and DougandEric. We are Jenny & Chris from the South Coast NSW.  I agree with  elfin 5714 about the roll call being very quiet, but now that we are getting closer it may become more active. DH & I have been on a few cruises, NCL, Princess and HAL.  Our last cruise was Vancouver to Sydney on Noordam. We are both looking forward to going through the Panama Canal. This was Chris's choice as he has watched a DVD on the making of it and found it fascinating. We also are staying in San Diego for 4 days beforehand and are very much looking forward to it. Don't know where to stay yet - any suggestions from anyone? I'm in the process of looking at the Ports of Call and deciding what to do. In the past we have done a mixture of Ship excursions and ones organised through the roll call. I prefer private ones as I agree with others that they are much cheaper. Some ports I think we may walk around the town to get a feel of the different cultures, people and countries we are in - never having been there before.  Any suggestions from those of you that have traveled this way before would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to a meeting in the Aft bar and counting down the days.

    Hi Freanesi,

We also staying 4 days in San Diego before the cruise we are staying at the Wyndham San Diego

    Where is the AFT bar?

Back of ship. Opposite of the pointy end of ship. 😊😊😆😆. Probably the pool bar. Can't remember exact name.

We have historically used local tour guides.  Relying on Trip Advisor et. al. We will start checking on line after our current cruise is completed in March. If you are apprehensive, by all means use the ship tours.  Perfectly safe.  We don't like the size nor the costs involved in the Ship's Shore Excursions. Maybe there might be a ship tour worthy of our interest. Cruise Critic also has a plethora of information by current cruisers in many areas where this ship will dock.  Key item is do your homework.  We don't have any predetermined ideas.  Haven't said that, if we were to go to Acapulco we would not even get off the ship. We have seen enough machine guns there to last us a lifetime. Some of our destinations are beautiful, some I have no idea of what's available. Will start the process soon.

    Where is the AFT bar?

I was the same, bone on bone. Not an easy surgery to recover from, but once it’s healed you will be so happy to be pain free. Go for it.
