We're doing back-to-back cruises.  Flying into Miami tomorrow night and we leave on the Carnival Victory on Friday.  It was less expensive to go on this cruise than it was to get a hotel (etc.) in Miami!  Will be back in port on Monday morning in time to drag our luggage off of the Victory and onto the Infinity!

I lucked out and booked a hotel extremely early and got a very reasonable rate mid beach for just over 120.00 a night.  Otherwise we would not be flying in early, the rates were outrageous with the SOBE food and wine festival.  Aparhently it brings in over 60 000 peopl each year.

Anyone joining in on the SOBE Food Network Festival events this coming weekend, pre-cruise?
We just grabbed tickets to the Beach Carnival event on Sunday evening, and it looks like a blast!

We fly in onto FLL and arrive in Miami Saturday morning.  We did this cruise itinerary last year on this ship and had a blast. This will be hubby and I's 8th Celebrity cruise, we really enjoy the line.

I have never been to Key West - I have been wanting to go for years.  I would love to do it all.  Do you guys think it would be possible to book the Catamaran Sail And Snorkel and do the trolly?  The Snorkel trip leaves at 845.  I would allow 4 hours for the trip.  We would finish up at 1245.  I am assuming we are docking at the Navy pier - so allowing extra travel time.  Departure for the ship is 5pm.  Not sure what time all aboard is and I always like to be back early.  So lets say I need to be back on the ship at 4pm.  Is three hours enough time to do the trolly (90 minutes), hop off to see Hemingway house, hop off to grab a slice of key lime pie and hop off to just stroll around town?  Now that I write it all out - probably not. Why can't we be there a few more hours????  Do any of you know of other (non celebrity) snorkel tours that are shorter in length?  We would just love to see the coral reef.

    Thanks -

    Kathy
