    All information is here: https://www.hollandamerica.com/blog/topics/news/holland-america-line-announces-a-voluntary-and-temporary-pause-of-its-global-ship-operations-for-30-days/

Guests who have booked their own air should first contact their airline to make ticket changes. Holland America Line will rebook all guests who purchased their air through the Flight Ease program and will endeavor to help others who booked their own air if they are encountering issues.”

Yes Pam - you are so correct - we were truly fortunate - we have a friend who was just on the Rotterdam on a Panama Canal cruise from San Diego - to Ft. Lauderdale - yesterday Holland American cancelled all cruises for one month and immediately ended those already underway. So today our friend was debarked and “stranded” in Puerto Valarta which fortunately isn’t so bad. He receives a full refund and full credit for a future cruise.

Oh my! Does your friend have to find his own way home? Is Holland helping them?

Well, watching the news and everything that is happening with the cruise industry, I believe we were lucky that we went we did. I also saw that Captain Kate was supposed to end her current tour and take the next few months off in Las Vegas. After her husband visited, she sent him home because she said her place was with her crew. Impressive leadership.

Having said that, I hope all of you and your families stay safe and healthy during this very trying time.

    Pam

    Hi Pam,

Diane and John from Orange, Ca  near the Orange County Mining Restaurant where you got engaged.

Hope everything is ok at your home after the bad tornado.

    Hope you are safe.

    Diane and John -

Thank you for asking and your concern. We were very fortunate this time. The tornado was within a couple miles of our house but no damage. There has been extensive loss of life, homes, businesses and schools. The middle school that serves our neighborhood was destroyed and will not reopen for the rest of the school year. We have a lot of work ahead of us! Nashville is a resilient city and we will rebuild!

    Pam
