YAY.  I'm delighted it worked out for you!

I haven't received it yet but was told it would take a few days.  I booked a Guaranty and have now been assigned a cabin, and then I called & changed it to another more centrally located cabin (same category) but portside as well.  So I know they have the change in their system.

Nevertheless, I will likely call them on the weekend and request it if I haven't received it by then.

In my original post, I said the sale ended that day but apparently it is still going.  Now it says available for 12 more hours so there's still time if others are interested.

@Islander500 I just called and they sent me the updated booking confirm with all the amenities and OBC!  Thanks again for the tip 😀

@Islander500 thanks for the tip!  I called Celebrity yesterday and got the extra amenities and OBC added to my existing reservation 😀 They also moves my cabin to the port side of the ship (which apparently has better views). 😀😀

One question, how long did it take to get an updated receipt from Celebrity showing the changes?  As of this morning I haven’t received one yet.

We are the fourth scheduled Eclipse cruise that will be embarking or disembarking in Santiago (San Antonio).

    1. Los Angeles to Santiago (Nov 20 - Dec 6)
    2. Santiago to Buenos Aires (Dec 6 - Dec 21)
    3. Buenos Aires to Santiago (Dec 21 - Jan 5)

We will get to see how things go and how Celebrity handles it.

    Patience.

Thanks TeeRick.  There’s an old adage, “Actions speak louder than words.” From the number of cancellations being made and calls received by representatives (from people like me) as a consequence of the continuing civil unrest in Chile and from Clelebrity's past experiences in similar situations , I am confident that they are aware of the increased anxiety being sensed by passengers.  Rather than just giving the party line, “We are very concerned about the safety of our crew and passengers and are carefully monitoring the situation”, taking some small steps which demonstrate their concern would go a long way in showing that they mean what they say.  My suggestion for some form of safe transport to the ship is only one idea, but with the collective wisdom of fellow passengers, I am confident, other ideas to reduce passengers’ anxieties will be spawned. I know that Celebrity monitors this website so,  if you like the idea of having Celebrity organize some form of transport or if there is a pragmatic alternative, I urge readers to make their thoughts known one way or another to Celebrity.

Thanks to ScotiaWaveRunner, Geremjud, TeeRick, and RomanyUY for your responses.  Like many of you, my wife and I stand to lose lots of money should we cancel. Although we are from New York, flights to So. America are expensive and insurance does not cover losses due to civil unrest for the cost of airfare or for the cruise.  Considering the violence witnessed in Chile, I called various representatives of Celebrity and asked if they would set up transfer points to assist passengers in getting from hotel or airport to the cruise ship. My suggestion fell on deaf ears but they said that they were reviewing the situation in an effort to safeguard the crew and passengers.  In my opinion, the chance of Celebrity canceling the cruise is slim to none.  They are more likely to change the port of embarkation but that is rather unlikely due to the significant costs and logistics involved.  So, where does that leave passengers like my wife and me?  In short, we are caught between a rock and hard spot, take the losses associated with cancellation or go on the trip with our hearts in our throats hoping that no harm will fall upon us.  Neither choice, makes for a pleasant vacation.  I do appreciate all of your thoughts.

Mike- I love this idea!  Maybe a lot of us should start calling and suggest it.  We are not asking for free transport- just an option for safe transport!
