My husband and I have cruised many, many times on different cruise lines. This was our first Oceania cruise and chose this particular cruise because the Riviera has a good reputation and this 17 Day cruise spent 3 days in Israel - in addition to a number of Greek Islands and a few Italy ports. The Riviera was highly recommended to us. It was our 2nd cruise with Oceania (Insignia, before), and I should have known better. My husband and I go cruising to relax, have nice meals with good service, and then dance the night ways! This just was not possible. We chose this particular voyage for two reasons: we had previously done our first transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary about 18 months before and we wanted to do that again; and secondly, a friend who has travelled extensively on Oceania raved about this particular shipping line. Background : Well travelled senior couple. Sailed with many cruise lines including Oceania's Regatta and Insignia. Regent Seven Seas, Princess, Celebrity, Wind Star, Holland America, NCL to name a few,we also sailed with Viking River Cruise. Sailed from Barcelona to Miami.
