#1 Price Gouger on the Seas

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Riviera

To be fair, Oceania does some things very well. The ship was clean and well appointed. The crew was courteous and efficient. And the food was outstanding. But the thing that spoiled our cruise experience was their outrageous price gouging on shore excursions and airport transfers. When you pay a premium price you expect to get a seamless travel experience without constantly being nickeled and ...

Never again!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Riviera

If you want pre-frozen food served by surly staff who lack product knowledge and appear to have had little or no training, then this is the cruise for you. If second rate "entertainment" is your delight you'll be right at home here. From embarkation to disembarking it was a disorganised disaster. In 22 years of cruising we have never had such a poor cruise experience. We were expecting a ...

Poor Entertainment and Excursions

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Riviera

I have completed almost 70 cruises on all the major cruise lines and rate Oceania very poorly in the entertainment and shore excursion areas. The ship entertainment is very repetitive and of a low standard. The magician/comedian who was on stage 4 times during our 20 days would have starved if he was a street busker. The music entertainment is based around eastern block musicians who lack any ...

Nothing like the itinerary we booked and paid for!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Riviera

Lovely ship, good food, good service but staff attitude a bit mixed. We booked this cruise for the itinerary. We have not sailed with Oceania before, we are veterans of Cunard, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and P and O. As we were leaving for the airport I checked my email and was informed via another passenger in the US (we are English) who I had met on line via Cruise Critic that we were not ...

Check-in was a breeze as we arrived at the terminal late and there were few passengers waiting to board. We found our cabin and our luggage arrived soon after we checked out what was to be our home for the next twelve days. The cabin was nicely decorated, the furniture was not worn the bathroom was spacious with a shower and a tub with a shower. I could not understand the shower in the tub as you ...

It's Complicated

Rome-Venice --Sorrento/Capri, Amalfi/Positano, Sicily, Zakynthos, Corfu, Dubrovnik, Venice -- couldn't ask for a better itinerary or better weather. Try to be to-the-point (not my strong suit) and chronological for the most part. We are vets of RCCL, Princess, Carnival, Disney & Celebrity trying Oceania for 1st time, Oceania all the way for our big 45th Anniversary trip with Excursion Package, ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Riviera

I was very disappointed with the Riviera,Oceania. First let me say my husband and I have traveled on several cruise lines and had great experiences on Crystal Cruises. The Good - Our Oceania Suite was modern and beautiful and very spacious. You get what you $$$ paid for there. The Speciality Restaurants were outstanding. The Bad - There was not energy on this boat. The staff was perfunctory and ...
