"We felt the food on Oceania was certainly on par if not slightly better than SilverSea which is a luxury six star cruise company. The highlight of our dinning experience was the La Reserve dinner event called: "La Bourgeoise" Jacque Pepin, Culinary ambassador for Oceania has put together a wonderful menu where wine food pairing is amazing...."Read More

1-10 of 45 Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Riviera Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise Reviews
A little background about us. Early to mid sixties, 45 plus cruises, six on Oceania in total this was our fifth on the Riviera.
Cruised on Celebrity, HAL, Princess, Cunard, P&O, Royal Viking and Silver Sea.
After being away from cruising for a year and a half we were looking forward to returning to Oceania. Primarily for the itinerary and of course the excellent food and service which are ...
Been on Oceania before. Like the ads say, it's all about the food.
The food was wonderful with the exception of Polo Grill. Service was very slow and two of the 4 steaks served were almost raw. Because it was nearly 10:00 by the time we were served, it was just too late to send them back. Similar experience first night on board in the main dinning room. Just not enough people to serve all the ...
Having cruised with Oceania on a few occasions prior to covid they were 1st class, our latest cruise post covid on Riviera Rome to Trieste April 7 - 14 was certainly not up to the standard we had previously experienced. It would appear that costs are are more concerning to the company than guest experience. Food was good but arrived cool, the Grand Dining room food was obviously kept under heat ...
We enjoyed Oceania on past cruises, especially the specialty restaurants, the smaller ship sizes and the service. Other cruise lines are cheaper, but the crowds are larger and the food is not as good as Oceania.
Our cruise was 19 days and covered a number of ports we had previously been to, but we wished to visit Turkey, Israel and Cyprus.
Embarkation at Port Piraeus, Athens ran smoothly. It ...
This is my fourth cruise with Oceania. I have been on both the Riviera and the marina. Well both ships are lovely, I have to say that I enjoyed the Riviera the most. I find the ship to be simply beautiful. This service is always so helpful and cheerful. We had a penthouse suite as I was traveling with my father and aunt. The room was clean, well appointed, and had plenty of room. We all had ...
We chose this cruise because we had not been to several of the the port stops before. We were disappointed in the food. We live in Houston, dine out frequently, and expected the food to be better. My steak in the Polo was over cooked, not impressed at all. The Red Ginger was a real disappointment. Did not care for it at all. Much better Asian in Houston. We really liked Jacques and Toscana. As ...
This was our first Oceania cruise after having travelled with Carnival, Princess and Royal Caribbean previously.
We had been to a couple of Oceania events where they spoke highly about their food and said it was the best at sea. The food on our cruise was not as good as they claimed. Some cuts of meat were very fatty, almost inedible (even at Jaques and the Polo grill) . A pad-thai in the main ...
We chose this cruise primarily by the ports of call and the reviews re the onboard food.
We struggled after booking with understanding the extra costs-primarily alcohol, very expensive, and gratuity on the alcohol (18%)
The “extras” on our room were $16 per day each which we were told we could change without problem by visiting reception; I had researched about this beforehand.
We had ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the amenities.
The passenger age definitely skews to the over 60 crowd.
The food was among the best we have ever had on a cruise ship. The specialty restaurants offered a good variety of dishes. The Italian and French restaurants were the better of the 4. As New Yorkers, we have no shortage of good steakhouses or Asian restaurants so ...
This was our fourth Oceania cruise and it was the type and quality of a cruise we have come to expect from this cruise line. We can say that we experienced excellent service and top notch quality of food at several of the restaurants on board the Riviera. My wife has special medical dietary requirements and all of the food was prepared accordingly and service staff were especially helpful and ...
