We had a great cruise for two weeks in the Caribbean visiting nine beautiful islands. This was our 27th cruise overall on five different lines and our third cruise on Oceania. They are still the best.
The weather was very good 13 out of 14 days. Our next to last day was rough seas and a little difficult for everyone but the Captain & crew did everything they could to make us comfortable. It ...
We were looking forward to seeing the fall colours down the coast of New England and indulge ourselves in some luxury.
We could not fault the cabin or the service onboard - both were excellent. But much of the food was not really to our taste - a very burnt-tasting lobster bisque and some odd flavour combinations (not sure what they did to make the avocado toast taste nothing like a fresh ...
First time back To Oceania after 10 years - very impressed w/ ship and crew! I would sail w/ them again.
Ship and it's condition
MDR menus were very weak( new menu I was told)- more passengers ate in the eve buffet than MDR every night!
MDR overall- were inflexible on menu choices, take it or leave it!
Manly booked this for the itinerary. It was a 12 night - Venice to Barcelona . 11-1-18 to 11-13-18. Excursions were not as described. The stops listed were not accurate. One location did not have the handicrafts village as highlighted. Another town was completely closed on the day we were there. Nothing to see at all! They return you back to the ship 2-3 hours before ship left port. Not ...
We chose this itinerary, back to back cruises, from Athens to Venice, Venice to Barcelona since we wanted to do both the Eastern and Western Mediterranean. Even though we stopped twice in Dubrovnik & Kotor, it was well worth it to have the second day to explore on our own (after gaining familiarity w/ both cities). We are big Viking fans, both the river and ocean. Just did the Baltic w/ Viking ...
We chose this cruise primarily by the ports of call and the reviews re the onboard food.
We struggled after booking with understanding the extra costs-primarily alcohol, very expensive, and gratuity on the alcohol (18%)
The “extras” on our room were $16 per day each which we were told we could change without problem by visiting reception; I had researched about this beforehand.
We had ...
This was our fourth Oceania cruise and it was the type and quality of a cruise we have come to expect from this cruise line. We can say that we experienced excellent service and top notch quality of food at several of the restaurants on board the Riviera. My wife has special medical dietary requirements and all of the food was prepared accordingly and service staff were especially helpful and ...
This was our 8th cruise with Oceania (our first was in the summer of 2014). There are definitely small indications that the line has cut back here and there over the years, but we remain quite pleased and will cruise with them again (we signed up for a trip next January while on board).
While we heard complaints about the food from some, especially in the Grand Dining Room and the Polo ...
This was our first cruise on Riviera, our second on Oceania. Our previous Oceania was the Nautica, and our cabin had been a disappointment. Our apprehensions were dismissed the moment we entered our cabin on Riviera. It was a very good size, and most importantly, the bathroom was much much better than the airplane-size bathroom on Nautica. No 'Psycho' shower but a full bathtub and separate shower. ...
I am writing this to help other new cruisers on Oceania. We had many questions before we left...some that we were uncertain of...and I hope this helps.
Our cruise was the Mayan Mystique...10 days...MIA to MIA.
The ship is in wonderful shape! Very clean...beautiful artwork throughout.
This ship is undoubtedly for luxury and food. Here are a few bulleted thoughts:
~The pool is very ...
