We sailed on the Riviera from Rome to Barcelona. Some background: we ar a couple in our early fifties from Canada. We sailed previously on Celebrity, RCI, Princess, HAL, Cunard, Costa and Carnival. This was our first Oceania cruise. Things we liked: Embarkation was very smooth and quick. Literally few minutes we wee on board. The size of the ship is perfect. Not too big and not too ...

Travel agent recommended Oceana and booked this Mediterranean cruise for us. The shore excursions were fine, but the onboard experience was so fabulous that you won't want to go ashore. The ship is luxuriously decorated with every possible activity you'd want. There is a reason that Oceana gets Best Dining Cruises. The dining experience was wonderful. But the best part of the Riviera experience ...

We selected it for the price and destinations. The ports were great, and shore excursions were fine. However, the food, while still very good, was not excellent as it used to be. Internet service was horribly slow virtually throughout the cruise--there are simply too many passengers for the amount of satellite the ship uses. And, although staff such as servers and maintenance were very ...

Great cruise but a little disappointed with the staff and the boutiques.

We found the staff very hard working and dedicated but where are they?? We think Riviera has cut staff and we have never seen so many staff cry or be called out by the heads of each of the restaurants. Lots of bullies on this ship. We saw one young girl with at least 8 tables in the buffet to look after. That's getting coffee, drinks, cleaning the table, taking the dishes to the kitchen, ...

First Time Cruiser

Our travel agent suggested Oceania's Riviera for a sister's cruise, and we are so very happy she did! We didn't have cruising experience to which to compare, but we DO know quality and service. The Riviera provided these at every turn. The ship is beautiful, food was very good, service was outstanding! We did not have any problems with embarkation or disembarkation, but we have no comparisons. ...

We just returned from Oceania's Riveria 17 day cruise(Medieval Meanderings) from Barcelona to Rome. This was actually two cruises combined - July 3 cruise Barcelona to Lisbon and July 10 cruise Lisbon to Rome. This was our 5th Oceania cruise. We cannot say enough good things about how fantastic this cruise was including the Oceania staff, food, ports, excursions and ship. We used Oceania ...

This was our 8th trip with Oceania. For the first time we found that the gourmet meals in the specialty restaurants and Main Dining room were less appetizing than on the earlier cruises. The company has under gone new management having been acquired by NCL. This may account for the lowering of standards for the company. Compared to other cruises we have taken (29 to date) we are aware that ...
