"Being more interested in being off the ship at the ports than being occupied inside (our voyage had no scheduled sea days) we didn't sign up for any classes, but I peeked in a couple of times, and it looked like they were having a great time, so next time, I think I would try a cooking class. We missed one port, so that resulted in one cancellation, but I'm not sure about why the other was cancelled--I was one of 8 on an excursion which went on as scheduled, so the minimum number has to be pretty small...."Read More

We loved being back on a small ship without crowds and queues.
The only significant negative are the ship organised excursions. Most of these were sold out months before the departure date. I also discovered, by accident, how much the company add to the actual cost of at least some of the trips. It's scandalous.
We tried the Panoramic Donegal' coach trip adverted struggling to find a way ...
The cruise itself was bit of a damp squid, with poor weather spoiling the enjoyment, though we did enjoy our shore trips as much as possible, but they are very pricy. The overall enjoyment of the cruise is the ship and what it provides. The cabin was the best we have experienced, it's layout made the best use of space, also the cabin staff were very good in providing us with a spotless cabin, and ...
Greenland is one of the items on my bucket list, and this was our 2nd visit, and 2nd time to miss it. The first time - we went in May, with a transatlantic cruise from London to New York. This cruise had 2 stops in Greenland, but because of fog and Ice, we could not go in. We had lunch with the Ice Captain, and were told to never try to go to Greenland before July. So, this time, we did book a ...
I was invited to post this review here after posting it on the Boards. Happy to do so. My rating of 4 stars is only because I didn't feel 3 stars was sufficient. If I could rate it more appropriately, it would get 3.5 stars. This review ONLY focuses on the Owners Suite, and issues I found with it. After the initial critical review, I'm going to add another post I made when somebody asked me ...
My wife and I just returned from an 8 day Ireland cruise on the Riviera. To provide some perspective, we are not avid cruisers...use the cruise to access a destination and don't particularly go for the cruise experience itself. We have cruised with Princess, Carnival, Celebrity and Viking prior to this cruise. We reserved an Oceania suite which was very comfortable, an excellent use of space with ...
We chose the cruise due to the marketing around the quality of the food and the emphasis on service.
Whilst the food was, in the main adequate to good, it was not the best cuisine. Also, I had the lobster in the Polo Grill and it was inedible !
We had prepaid excursions however, when we got on board, this was disputed by Reception, as was the fact that our package included gratuities. We had ...
This was our second Oceania cruise and our previous experience on a seven-day New York to Bermuda cruise on the Insignia had prepared us for what we viewed as the line's strengths and weaknesses. Its greatest strength is the food, we never had a disappointing meal in any of the venues. Red Ginger was amazing and Jacques was very good. If we had one complaint about the food is that desserts and ...
We took our first cruise on the Nautica in 2018, and found it to be an elegant and pleasant way to travel. We were looking forward to taking another cruise, but our carefully thought-out plans were delayed for several years, along with everyone else in the world.
After several wonderful days at our embarkation port, Lisbon, we were excited to be back on board a ship. Although the Riviera ...
We chose this cruise because it was stopping at Bordeaux for 2 nights. We were in a Concierge cabin and enjoyed our cruise apart from a few concerns. In the pas we have always had bottled mineral water which we prefer.but now they are offering their own bottled Filtered water (Vero). Not quite the same! We decided to take advantage of the free laundry service. This was a disaster as the items ...
We have been on Oceania before and loved it and this was a great itinerary. The cabin was a little disappointing. It seemed a bit worn out. The bathroom has a big bathtub shower in addition to a small stall shower. Cabin steward was excellent. Food on Oceania has always been fantastic but this time we were disappointed. There are 4 specialty restaurants which were all excellent but the main ...
