Cruising Central Europe
Cabin was posh but appallingly small.
Low bridges ahead!
One of the highlights was the middle Rhine gorge.

River Princess Staff and ship Fell short of quality

Review for River Princess to Europe - River Cruise

We are Heritage members and sailed with Uniworld before on the S.S. Joie de Vivre from Paris to Normandy. Our experience with Uniworld in 2017 was exceptional! BUT THIS EXPERIENCE ON RIVER PRINCESS WAS NOT! Front Desk Hotel Manager and staff looked upset and serious if you asked a question. No smiles at anytime. It was as if all of them had some attitudes. The wait staff were arguing at ...

First tick off my Bucket List - luxurious perfection all round!

After researching potential cruise companies for my first ever river cruise in Europe, I decided on Uniworld with its consistent annual award-winning history. I wanted a trip that covered all expenses, including accommodation, food, beverage, tours/excursions with options for the less physically able - I use a walking stick - and gratuities, as once I stepped on board, I wanted to be carefree and ...

This was our first river cruise and we chose Uniworld because of its all inclusive nature. We booked our own travel and stayed for 3 nights in Amsterdam prior to boarding the ship. When we did board mid day, we were welcomed and shown around and encouraged to partake of the lounge offerings and lunch (and on the day of debarkation the guests were encouraged again to stay for lunch and hang out in ...

Wonderful River Cruise on the Danube

Our travel agent recommended Uniworld as she had taken one of their river cruises in the past and highly recommended them. We were very pleased overall. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The only negative is that the ship was dated, especially the lounge area. The color scheme was not relaxing in that area, in our opinion. We ...

This was my first river cruise and it was wonderful. The river cruise is definitely more relaxing than any ocean cruise. You do not spend much time in your room so as long as the bed is comfortable and it is clean I am happy. Our room was fine comfortable bed plenty of closet space. I thought the food on the cruise was good to very good I think I was expecting too much but again it was ...

First river cruise for us. As stated so enthusiastically by fellow travelers, the accommodations and crew on board River Princess were excellent. Experienced local guides - several with 8+ years associated with Uniworld - and our Cruise Director were just great. The ship's interior has been recently renovated; the furniture wall coverings looked fresh and bright in an art deco ...

Sadly disappointing

My wife and I are very experienced river cruisers. We have completed about a dozen to date, including three previously with Uniworld. After very good experiences with them, when we saw their promotion of a Grand European Voyage, our only hesitation was the price. We thought it very expensive, and by far the most costly we have ever undertaken: but it was for 29 days and it was from one side of ...

Perhaps river cruising is somewhat a well-kept secret as we found very few reviews across multiple sites prior to our booking and our hope is that this review will introduce you to a new way of travel and/or influence your decision to experience UniWorld. We are 40/50ish couple from Sonoma/Napa Valley with a passion for food, wine and sailing and while this was not our first Luxury Link (LL) ...
