Two seniors from Phoenix in response to a bucket list item - never taken a river cruise before. Arrived 1 night prior to boarding after a frustrating flight experience. Avalon does it right!
Boat was in excellent condition, crew was fabulous.
Adding the Happy hour was an excellent way to start your evening on board. Never had to wait for a drink, the service was impeccable.

This was our second Avalon cruise. We did the Saone and Rhone river cruise last year through Burgundy and Provence and had a great experience with Avalon so we decided to go with them again. There was also a $250.00 per person incentive for returning patrons.

Friends were already booked on it, and so we elected to join them! I had always fancied a river cruise, as opposed to an ocean cruise, and particularly wanted to do this Saone- Rhône one.
