Two seniors from Phoenix in response to a bucket list item - never taken a river cruise before. Arrived 1 night prior to boarding after a frustrating flight experience. Avalon does it right!
Boat was in excellent condition, crew was fabulous.
Adding the Happy hour was an excellent way to start your evening on board. Never had to wait for a drink, the service was impeccable.

We had done Amsterdam to Basel in 2018, and Paris-Normandy-Paris in 2019. This was our third cruise, and in our opinion, the best so far. Poetry II was immaculate and the crew and staff were friendly, competent, courteous and professional. As usual, the food was superb with excellent wine accompaniments. I chose this cruise because thirteen friends and family were going on cruise. Unfortunately, I was the only one who made it.
