We chose this cruise specifically for traveling through Germany, our favorite food stop was Cologne, great sidewalk restaurants and cold beer, plenty to see very close to where the boat docked. We chose this tour because Avalon Waterways waived the vaccine requirement in November 2023 and we wanted to cruise the Rhine for the first time. This was our first time doing a river cruise and it was amazing. We really loved that the ship was so small. The crew went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Our first river cruise after many big sea cruises, and it was fantastic! Avalon did everything top notch. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure that everything was great. Floating down the river was so relaxing and the scenery was beautiful.

Sailing with Avalon definitely was the perfect experience. Making new friends during cocktail hour and dining with them provided us with the ultimate opportunity to learn from friends in other countries. This cruise provided an extra night in Amsterdam and allowed us to visit both Keukenhof Gardens and the Anne Frank House (pre-plan 6 weeks prior as tickets are limited.)

This isn't really a river cruise as we didn't sail on a river but was one of hte best river cruises we have ever experienced. We spent 7 nights on the Venetian lagoon around the area of northern Italy. The ship is absolutely stunning and sleeps around 120 people.
