Went with a few friends and family to see the Christmas markets. I would recommend this to everyone. The 2 bad things were that they had a very heavy rainy season. This made getting from Passau to Budapest very challenging for the crew since we have to go under bridges. We did get stuck in Vienna for an extra night. the overall experience was really disappointing. I felt that Viking skimped on alot of small but very important items. First off, the buffet when we arrived on the ship was sparce, not many selections. However, the check in could not have been more efficient.

Needed a winter vacation and have always wanted to try a Viking river cruise. We took a Christmas market cruise on the Danube from Budapest to Passau. Viking handled everything including flights and transfers and it was seamless for me.
