Disappointing

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

First Time Cruiser • Age 80s

This was my first time to cruise with Regent and was unimpressed. On the whole the service was good but felt they had a lot of new staff being trained. The suite was a good size, as was the bathroom, separate shower and a full size bath which unfortunately was too narrow to use. The floor leaked and they seemed to have no idea how to rectify it. We eventually had to change suites as ...

Disappointed - missed ports; sleepless nights

Chose this cruise as we had wanted to visit the Falkland Islands, and see Antarctica. Was unsure if a true expedition cruise would be too challenging, however, in the end would much have preferred a true expedition experience (with use of Zodiacs, etc). We chose Regent as we had travelled on the Splendor in 2021, and had a positive experience throughout the Mediterranean and trans ...

Frustration and Disappointment

First I want to state that we were very excited to take this cruise and had high expectations given Oceania’s reputation. We had recently taken Holland America across the Pacific and expected this to be even better. We were terribly disappointed. The very first problem was the embarkation. The pier in Rio is large and there were 2 other ships in port at the time. It was also very crowded with ...

We have travelled on repositioning cruises before 32 in total many on MSC but this is our first one on MSC Seascape. The ship itself is beautiful good State Rooms , crew looking after State Rooms efficient and helpful. However the food is well below the standard we would normally expect. My husband said so much of the food served reminded him of the food available in the British Army when he did ...

Costa Firenze in South America

Review for a South America Cruise on Costa Firenze

This is the fourth time me and my family have been to a Costa Cruise and we had a different experience. Even though Costa Firenze is a brand new ship, entertainment was lacking when compared to my previous Favolosa and Fascinosa experience. Had a great experience with our schedule dinner, food was good and service was great - a special thank to Roy Samir and Dondde, who were kind and ...

Nice ship, sad itinerary

I am a Sapphire level cruiser with NCL. I have enjoyed cruising with them for years. I chose this cruise because I was in Brazil at the time and the cruise departed from Rio de Janeiro. The ship was recently refurbished and was in excellent shape. It is a smaller, older ship, and has few whistles and bells. It was kept immaculately clean. The crew were phenomenal, always friends and caring, ...

Great staff, shame about the class system and cost cutting

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Viking Octantis

This cruise was a repositioning cruise which commenced from New York. We boarded in Rio De Janeiro. Therefore, many of the excursions were not available due to guests boarding in NY (being able to access excursions online much earlier and for kayaks and submarine trips in Antartica) as well as the "class system" perpetuated by Viking. (We booked Nordic Penthouse). We were due to stay in Port ...

We chose this particular cruise because the itinerary and dates matched what we wanted so we were excited to try Oceania, having heard great things. We stayed in cabin 10015, which was the lowest Penthouse Suite Category. Overall, the cruise was *good*. The food was good but not great except for Polo Grill, which was fabulous. The most aggravating thing about the food experience was not being ...

Love Azamara but..

We chose this cruise because we like the small ship experience with lots of sea days. We wanted to see Rio and Lisbon. Embarkation was a bit off-putting. We already had our bags tagged with our room number and did not need assistance getting our bags to the drop-off point. There was no place to drop our bags and we had to stand in line while others that used the porters were taken care of. Our ...

Experience OK with some drawbacks

Review for a South America Cruise on MSC Fantasia

The embarkation process was catastrophic, it took me 6 hours to get onboard. Unacceptable. The cruise was fine, with some good points during the trip, such as the animation team, and bad ones, such as the pool water color (green) during some days. The cabin was very good. The restaurants handled well all the people onboard, and the food variety was very good. However, the Red Velvet restaurant ...
