Cruise from hell

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Preziosa

This cruise was meant to be a dream vacation but it turned out to be a total nightmare. A huge group of the passengers was extremely loud, they didn’t speak to each other, they yelled to each other. And everyone else. I had expected that from an international cruise going from South America to Europe the main language on board would be English but it was not, it was Portuguese. Even some of ...

Substandard cruise

We are so disappointed with MSC with a cruise we were so looking forward to do so long. Their delivery does not match their PR spin. Much of food is inedible. Meat is tougher than boot leather, most of the fruit is of very poor quality, and it would be misleading to call it fresh. While our housekeeper, one of the pool waiters and the staff in the spa are all great, the overall performance of ...

Voyager not up to scratch.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

This was our first Regent cruise and we were so excited being a reputed 6 star cruise ship. Unfortunately this was not the case. Embarkation was a bit of a fiasco in Rio. Our cases left our hotel at 9 in the morning and although we boarded the ship around 1.00 our cases did not materialise until around 4.0 p.m. We had a penthouse suite which was lovely but there was a big stain on the carpet ...

Disappointing

This was my first time to cruise with Regent and was unimpressed. On the whole the service was good but felt they had a lot of new staff being trained. The suite was a good size, as was the bathroom, separate shower and a full size bath which unfortunately was too narrow to use. The floor leaked and they seemed to have no idea how to rectify it. We eventually had to change suites as ...

Excellent Transatlantic Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Azamara Quest

Excellent cruise from Rio to Lisbon. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere is upscale-casual: Few men wore sport jackets at any time. Ship was about 3/4 full, with almost all passengers being in their fifties and up. There were no children. Large mix of nationalities (US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.). It got a bit rocky towards the end of the cruise and the captain chose to skip the Madeira port of ...

Superb Cruise.

Another superb cruise on the Azamara Quest, we were in a club continent suite this time as the bathroom in a veranda room is very small , our suite was very nice lots of storage and we were able to put the suitcases under the bed. The company has changed hands since our last voyage and it is noticeable in the cuts they are making considering the guests on board we’re 54% return cruisers they ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Star

We booked this cruise solely because of Rio. I knew that it was an older ship, but really didn't realize the big difference compared to newer ships. There was little to do. The TV in the cabin was almost worthless. The showroom was only used for the evening show. Nothing ever during the day like lectures, movies, or anything interesting. The food was not very good. The afternoon buffet carving for ...

We have travelled on repositioning cruises before 32 in total many on MSC but this is our first one on MSC Seascape. The ship itself is beautiful good State Rooms , crew looking after State Rooms efficient and helpful. However the food is well below the standard we would normally expect. My husband said so much of the food served reminded him of the food available in the British Army when he did ...

MSC should be prosecuted for 'MIS-SELLING.'

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Preziosa

Firstly I and tens of thousand of others are being 'MIS-SOLD'. The customer is given the opportunity and often pays extra to choose a balcony cabin or similar, only that MSC cannot be bothered to log the details and given a random cabin, yes we are in the computer age. This is a known issue with Cruise Consolidators and happened to us on MSC Seaview in December last year and the Preziosa in April ...

April 2019 - My wife and I have been on numerous cruises (22+) throughout the world on various cruise lines over the years. This was our fifth cruise with Oceania; the previous cruises were the Northeastern Seaboard, Bermuda, Cuba, India, the Middle East and Europe and Southern Africa cruises. The 17-day Rio to Barcelona Cruise started on April 18, 2019. Our trip actually started on April ...
