Review for a South America Cruise on Azamara Quest

Another superb cruise on the Azamara Quest, we were in a club continent suite this time as the bathroom in a veranda room is very small , our suite was very nice lots of storage and we were able to put the suitcases under the bed. The company has changed hands since our last voyage and it is noticeable in the cuts they are making considering the guests on board we’re 54% return cruisers they ...

I have been on this ship before and enjoyed it. The cabins spacious, the food excellent, entertainment not the best, but OK and the staff so courteous and helpful. On the 2nd port this time we were put into lockdown in our cabins while a patient results were awaited and unfortunately he was positive for Covid-19 15 March 2020 End of cruise holiday. Food is excellent ...

The Amazon

Review for a South America Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We wanted to visit the Amazon. It was worth the price of many sea days (which we normally try to minimize). We just returned, arriving in Miami Jan 6, 2020. It was a solid 4 star experience, based on 20 cruises on 12 cruise lines. The all-inclusive feature is nice, although for those of us who don’t drink, free alcohol is not a benefit. Not being nickel-dimed is worth it, unlike certain cruise ...

Our best experience with HAL?

Review for a South America Cruise on Zaandam

The Zaandam is our new favourite ship. Its smaller size means fewer decks and less crowding. Our cabin on deck 6 was one deck above the fixed-time dining room and most public areas, and just two decks below the lido. It is practical to use the stairs rather than the elevators. Less crowding meant that we did not have to show up at least half an hour early to sit together for performances in the ...

We chose this cruise because we could start our holiday in Rio de Janeiro, which is one of our two favourite destinations for overseas holidays. We knew we would get some warm winter sunshine, so precious for people in Britain. Of course as people know Rio is a fabulous place, having a wonderful coastline, lots of places to visit and a big vibrant city. The people are very kind and helpful and go ...

South American Adventure

Chose this cruise for the itinerary, not the line or the ship. After reading some negative reviews, we didn't have really high hopes, but the ship turned out to be pretty nice even with a few hiccups. We are a couple in our 60's and have cruised 26 times before on most of the major lines, this was the third time with Holland America. We brought our 11 year old granddaughter with us, and ...

Review for a South America Cruise on Norwegian Sun

This cruise allowed stops at places I had never cruised. These included Punta del Este and Montivedio. Because of a great price the friend with whom I traveled and I were able to book single balcony cabins next door to each other. The cabins were comfortable. (On this ship, those who use CPAP machines need to carry an extension cord as the plug in is not near the head of the bed. If notified, ...

NCL RIO to B.A. - 10 days

Review for a South America Cruise on Norwegian Sun

So this was a starter cruise for us in that region of S.A. Overall we enjoyed this cruise experience, once we got onboard. There were some ups and downs. The NCL arranged transportation from the Rio airport was disorganized. There were two buses, our bus for 30+ people took overall an hour to find us??? The registration process at the pier was horrendous. Everyone waited in a LONG line for bags ...

Overall, we enjoyed our time on the Sun. The ports of call were lovely. We did all port excursions on our own except for Ilha Grande (Schooner and Snorkelling Adventure). We used the Spa a number of times and were satisfied with the services. On one of the sea days, we wanted to take the "Behind the Scenes Tour" of the Ship. We went to register and Norwegian was charging $79 per ...

Not quite as good as Queen Elizabeth, but close

Review for a South America Cruise on Queen Victoria

User Avatar

We chose this cruise so we could see the Magellan Straits from our balcony (even chose starboard side to make sure of the best view) and the ship sailed through the Straits in the dead of night! That was disappointing, but cruising by the islands and coast of the deep south of Chile, glaciers and all, almost made up for it. Service on board was amazing. Cruise lines -- and not just Cunard ...
