It was my 70th birthday that I wanted to get away from and this cruise would be going to the most beautiful Champagne Bay.
We had the top suite and it was fantastic. So much room. There was more than enough hanging space and drawers and the bathroom was a proper bathroom with a bidet, a glass enclosed shower and a spa bath. The amenities were excellent only needed to note a vanity door needed ...
We were part of a friends group to celebrate her 50th Birthday Party. Friends and family together and our first time out of Sydney. Previously cruised with P&O out of Brisbane. We had a suite 8514 with balcony, lounge and lovely bathroom. Our cabin staff was attentive and faultless. The service in general was very good especially in the dining room. Bar staff was often stretched and we had some ...
Rhapsody sailed out of Sydney 28 Feb 2015... now I know why Sydney Harbour is rated one of the best in the world. What a site sailing past the Opera House and out through Sydney Heads... and the weather was perfect. My sister and I positioned ourselves at the upper-level in the Centrum to witness a beautiful sunset over Sydney. The strings music was so fitting as we sipped our departing ...
Our second cruise to the Pacific Islands but first with RCL. Embarkation and disembarkation was brilliant. Great organisation from OPT staff in Sydney. Ship a little tired in places but generally clean and enjoyable to be on. Great staff in MDR and room attendant- credit to RCL. Some bar staff abrupt- especially main pool area.Slarium area was great and well controlled with regards to children ...
A great way to start the new year a lovely cruise to the South Pacific, Islands. If you haven't been to Champagne Bay and Luganville, they are a must visit.
My fourth time on Rhapsody of the Seas, I love the ship and it will be a great lost when it leaves Australian waters at the end of season.
Great food, entertainment, and staff.
The only complaint I have is that there is nothing to watch on ...
Kids club: For our daughter who is 11 she enjoyed kids club, she found it a little boring at times BUT in general it got the thumbs up. As for our 12 year old well he struggled a bit at the start, as his age group 12-14 and they share the same room as the up to 17 year olds which of course meant he was mixing in with the much older teenagers WHICH we did have a few issues with early on in the ...
10 nights on Rhapsody - the ship is 'doing' her last season in Australian waters this year, then off to Brazil for future cruising, Explorer of the Seas apparently is replacing her. She is starting to show her age here and there, crew doing a fantastic job keeping her maintained but struggling at times.
I am disabled and was treated respectfully and given as much help as I needed by all RCCI ...
Getting on the ship was quick and easy we had lunch in Windjammer and had alook round the ship then our cabin was ready .Cabins very small and no FRIDGE why have a mini bar when nowhere to cool the drinks ,also beds not very comfortable.Alvin our cabin steward was excellent also our waiters Sydney and Rosemarie .The Solarium and the theatre were the best areas of the ship, there was not enough ...
I cruised on the December 7, 2014 Pacific Cruise out of Sydney - first cruise with RCL , Previously we've done a 17 night Pacific many years back although more recent cruises have been in the Mediterranean and in Asia. All in all the Rhapsody cruise was fun and made even better because it was a holiday we took with good friends. The best thing about the Rhapsody is not the ship, it's the ...
This was our first RC cruise. We have previously sailed with P&O on several occasions but have been told that RC were superior to them. I had read some negative reviews about this ship but went with an open mind. Our honest opinion is this:
We found that the ship was a lot nicer than the P&O fleet.
The food in the main dining room in the evening was dry, overcooked & not very good at all. The ...
