7 Day Island Hop (with a toddler)
"When our 20-something passenger bus arrived back at the ship a little after noon our daughter was sound asleep in our arms, but when we put her down for a nap in our room she woke up and announced that she wanted to go to the kids club, and WITHOUT US.After completing some souvenir shopping on the walk back to the ship we picked up our daughter from Adventure Ocean around 1, had a quick lunch at Windjammer, and then to the pool deck for a relaxing afternoon of swimming (with some frozen drinks and ice cream for good measure)...."Read More

We recently were on Rhapsody of the Seas out of Barbados. Since there have not been many reviews of the cruises out of Barbados, and especially the Island Hop itinerary where you visit 7 islands in 7 days, I wanted to post this review. I am not an expert review poster, so this might be a little all over the place. This is mostly going to be about our experience on each island, including what ...

11 Day Island Hopper

This Rhapsody of the Seas “Island Hopper” 11 day cruise out of Barbados was chosen because of the very low price of $345 p/p and the itinerary included three islands we haven’t previously visited. We flew WestJet direct flight from Toronto to Bridgetown and stayed at two different beach hotels. The first two nights at the Accra Beach Hotel and Spa and at the Rostrevor Hotel in St. Lawrence Gap ...

My husband and I are experienced cruisers and have been on many different cruise lines. We are in our 60s. After reading about how terrible this cruise was, we lowered our expectations...and were pleasantly surprised albeit with some potential improvements to recommend as well. The food and service in the Main Dining Room is perfect. It was delicious, a diverse menu and our waiters Donald and ...

Christmas Island Hopper

We are Diamond members but this was our first cruise on Royal since the pandemic. I chose this itinerary because it visited 7 islands in 8 days. 5 of the islands were new to use. Since everyday was a port day, I figured a small ship would be ok. The crew was amazingly friendly. It almost felt like they are using the smaller ships for "training". Our cabin attendant was new (he told us) and ...

Barbados is or was an easier country ton get in to, Home Security in the US being aggressive in the best of situations, and with a stop every day little time is wasted. Most things went okay but when they didn't they tended to be shore side. First problem was actually getting on, I had an 11.30 boarding slot, I had four days in a hotel before hand, but I arrived on time and handed over my ...

7 NIGHT GREEK ISLES CRUISE Good Itinerary; Clean Enough Older Ship; Acceptable Food

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

This was the Rhapsody's first since the pandemic began. I was told the staff were almost all new not only to this ship, but to Royal Caribbean and cruise employment generally. I was also told the ship had staffing issues in regard to numbers (like most any hotel or restaurant you've visited recently). I chose this cruise based on itinerary and time of year. I was happy this ship was on ...

Chose to go with 2 couples. Never cruised with Royal Caribbean, they had. Overall the cruise experience was good. Food can be hit or miss. Service is very good, everyone is friendly and helpful. I would chose RC again. We were in a balcony cabin. Plenty of closet space, cannot say the same for shower space, just adequate. Take your own soap and shampoo. The one push container in shower didn’t suds ...

We choose the cruise as we were keen to revisit one of Royal Caribbean's smaller ships and wanted to visit Key West and being just the 2 of us wanted to cruise out of peak holiday season. Embarkation was the best we've ever experienced, 10 minutes after arrival we were on board, fantastic, no queues getting to the port or at check in. Being a smaller ship it doesn't have all the bells and ...

My husband and I (64 and 63 years young) traveled to Tampa Friday night, stayed at the Hampton Inn Avion Park. The hotel was nice and offered free breakfast. Request a room on the side opposite the airport and highway. We used Lyft to get to port and requested a stop at Target on Dale Mabry Hwy to buy wine and Pepsi. Note the Target in on the second level above Whole Foods. We arrived at port ...

Nice but a few issues

ROS was nice ship but a bit laid back. Cruise had lots of retired folks Crew was good. The food was average. Casino ok but way too long to wait for servers. Tendering was a nightmare. Some of it was the weather and the waves. But it was frustrating. The cabin was fine. Could use a bit of refresh. I think entertainment was average not really impressed with on board activities. I ...
