One of the best ever vacations!

Cruising is an individual experience, and out of 2,200 passengers it is absolutely possible for one person to have a 1* experience and another to have a 5* experience on the same cruise which I think explains the range of reviews for this ship. I'm happy to report that my experience was excellent. I am Diamond with RCI traveling solo from the mainland U.S.; this was my first time on Rhapsody and ...

Disappointed

After doing 3 P & O Cruises and assured Royal Caribbean was top shelf, I was so disappointed. The ship/decor was dated in the main areas and the main , the food was horrible (and im not a fussy eater). The breakfast and lunch buffets were so unhealthy and overcooked. Luckily I took up the option of going into the Sanctuary for breakfast and lunch and ate on the deck. The rooms however were ...

I Loved my 1st Cruise

Absolutely loved it !! A slight changer to the itinerary, but understandable, due to Cyclone Pam. I really hardly noticed it, as we'd had a week to get used to the idea before boarding the ship. The crew were fabulous, and although you could hardly swing a dead cat in the berths, they were clean & included the necessities. Worst part was the high price for an impossible internet ...

Beautiful Rhapsody

This was our first ever cruise so I'm not able to compare this ship to others. Rhapsody is small in comparison to many of the other cruise ships operating at the moment so she doesn't have most of the modern fancy stuff. No mini golf, no ice skating rink etc but what she lacks in these things she makes us for in pure dignity. She's a classy, understated lady. ...

Pam spoils the itinerary

A lot has been said about Cyclone Pam and Rhapsody's Captain and the fact you cant fight mother nature. Having sailed the cruise with my wife and 4 year old it has to be said that almost all crew where consummate professionals without doubt and it did not matter who it was from bottom to top if you asked about the itinerary you got exactly the same answer from them all. Now I am not going to rip ...

Rhapsody sailed out of Sydney 28 Feb 2015... now I know why Sydney Harbour is rated one of the best in the world. What a site sailing past the Opera House and out through Sydney Heads... and the weather was perfect. My sister and I positioned ourselves at the upper-level in the Centrum to witness a beautiful sunset over Sydney. The strings music was so fitting as we sipped our departing ...

This is the first time ever I have been shown a laminated picture of a steak, a steak and lobster and a lobster every night in the main dining room for all six of us at the table to pay extra for. We had one offering of an inferior steak and never any lobster included in the dining room menu. On formal night we were offered risotto and macaroni and cheese as main courses. The ship smelled of ...

Don't do it!

First the good stuff... Captain Rob (was excellent) and staff were great, especially Katy. Nearly all staff tried to please but to an Aussie it all seemed a bit overdone. I'm not used to tipping on an American ship in Australian waters as I could barely afford to go on this cruise anyway! I know the cabin stewards are paid peanuts but I saved for years to go on this cruise. So I couldn't ...

As this was our first cruise we were of course a little apprehensive however this experience exceeded all our expectations . Embarkation was very smooth guided by friendly R.C. staff . Our balcony cabin was quite adequate and even though the bathroom was small we had no problems . Alex ,our cabin boy , did a great job and we especially liked his towel creations . We ate dinner in. the MDR ...

Boarding: We walked over form the Marriott early morning with our four checks bags (two big and two small - ONE being a case of water) and they immediately ask if you have an extension cord or alcohol, keep it with your carry on. We retrieved our extension cord. We went back to the Marriott. once you are processed you may not get off the ship again and it doesn't leave until 6:30 pm. We ...
