We arrived two days early to visit Vancouver and stayed at a B & B, Bee & Thistle Guest House, Best in Vancouver. The owner Michael picked us up at the train station and dropped us off at the port on departure day, super accommodating, great breakfasts and comfy rooms; first class place (5 stars). We left May 21, 201 from Vancouver on the Rhapsody of the Seas first run of the season of the inner ...

This was our third cruise on Royal Caribbean and we’re sad to say that we were disappointed in the Rhapsody.StateroomA few days before we were set to leave the Upgrade Fairy paid a visit and we were moved from a D1 balcony on deck 7 to junior suite 8010, which is an accessible room. This was our first time in a suite (if you really want to count a JS as a suite) and the room was huge compared to ...

We're a little late in getting our review together, but since we had such a fabulous time, we still want to share our experience and thoughts with others. So here goes...My childhood friend and I promised each other 9 years ago we would take an Alaskan Cruise together the year we both turned 60 (this was that year). We'd spent our elementary and high school years together in Nova Scotia but now ...

Although we are from Nebraska, we have friends in Denver that we enjoy traveling with. We loved the fact that the ship sailed from Vancouver B.C., sailed the Inside Passage, and then the cruise concluded at Seattle. We purposely booked three nights prior and two nights after in those cities. In just under two weeks we enjoyed three vacations in one, with many bucket list experiences.Normally, it ...

Well this is going to be a bit long, but we had such an amazing time that I wanted to share what we enjoyed. Plus, prior to our trip I read lots of reviews to help plan our adventure...hope this helps those of you in the planning stages. My husband, son (age 6) and I just returned from the May 24 sailing of the Rhapsody of the Seas. We are experienced cruises and we like excursions that are active ...

My husband and I are 62 and 59. This was our first cruise. We picked RCI because when reading the cruise books the style seemed to suit us. It did suit us very well. We like to try new things, like a bit of luxary but aren't at all stuffy, we like history and outdoor activities and meeting new people. The cruise was everything we liked. The newly refurbished ship was beautiful. The crew was ...

Not my favorite cruise line

It was along wait in line at embarkation. I've had worse but many better experiences. Seems to be a problem with all the cruise lines I've been on. We were notified they had an outbreak of norovirus on a previous cruise and our cabins wouldn't be ready for an additional 1-2 hours. Shockingly our room didn't appear to have any extra cleaning done except for removing the ice bucket (not to be ...

Last Alaska Cruise of 2012 for Rhapsody

We stayed at the Edgewater Hotel for 2 nights before the cruise and experienced very unusual sunny weather for Seattle. Decided to walk to the ship as it was so nice and we were travelling light. There is a lovely walk/cycle path right along the seafront between the hotel and Terminal 91. Unfortunately as we so often find in USA we did have to negotiate a busy road at the entrance to the terminal ...

Alaska - Nice Trip! Changeable weather

Our stateroom with balcony was very nice. Clean, with lots of room to store everything from our 2 large suitcases, one carry on, 1 overstuffed suit-bag and sundries. The bed was a little uneven. We kept the two together. Attendant was good and kept us well supplied in towels and even found me a sewing kit when I ripped one of my formal dresses. The ship is obviously older but in great shape and ...

I love cruising, and I love RCI. My first 3 cruises were all Caribbean bound on the Liberty of the Seas, and needless to say that's an amazing, exciting, fun ship. I was a little apprehensive going on something as small as the Rhapsody, but with Alaska there wasn't much choice. The Rhapsody is a good ship, but it's not nearly as exciting as the Freedom class, and you can definitely feel it's ...
