Great itinerary, lovely weather, ship could be better

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Norwegian Star

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, sailing dates, and to use a 20% discount certificate that was issued by NCL due to canceling the Epic's winter Mediterranean sailings. The terms were rather restrictive and this sailing qualified. We booked about 3 months ahead, so we were within the final payment date and could only use one CruiseNext certificate. NCL would not budge on this, despite ...

Fantastic crew and ports but a couple negatives as well

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

We mostly chose this cruise for the amazing itinerary. Iceland, Norway, Shetland Islands, Amsterdam and Bruges Belgium which did not disappoint. The crew was absolutely amazing, they just couldn’t do enough for us and we’re always asking if there was anything else we needed or wanted. Many knew our names a drink preferences by the third day. We were treated like royalty. Voyager is 23 years old ...

My wife and I sailed on the July 27 NCL Prima Reykjavik to Southampton voyage. We are experienced cruisers (>20 sailings, with 12 on NCL.) Many of the reviews of the NCL Prima so far have been quite concerning. We resolved to keep an open mind and wanted to share some thoughts about our experiences. On previous cruises, we often ask crew what their favorite places to sail are. The Fjords of Norway ...

2nd Time to Greenland and missed it again

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Riviera

Greenland is one of the items on my bucket list, and this was our 2nd visit, and 2nd time to miss it. The first time - we went in May, with a transatlantic cruise from London to New York. This cruise had 2 stops in Greenland, but because of fog and Ice, we could not go in. We had lunch with the Ice Captain, and were told to never try to go to Greenland before July. So, this time, we did book a ...

My family is relatively new to cruising but we did a Ncl Baltic cruise in 2019. What mostly attracts is the port itinerary so this time we wanted to go on a Iceland with my aunt’s family. First of all we loved or vacation in general and love the Prima. Our group of 8 booked 2 balcony rooms on the 9th family. The rooms are the best, the pullout sofa is so easy to manage and the bathroom really ...

For us, itineraries are vitally important whether we intend to book on a cruise or not and this cruise delivered an itinerary that was attractive to us. NCL has definitely departed from their norm with the Prima class ships for the good or bad of it depending on what you prefer. The Prima class is the new hotness, and the line definitely wants you to experience it. It presents a blend of ...

Luxurious, Comfortable, plus Some Annoyances

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Star Pride

This was a trip circumnavigating Iceland, which was a very good way to see more remote parts of the country. Cabins very comfortable with plenty of closet, drawer, and shelf space and cabin service was excellent. I was disappointed that the shower in my cabin was over a bathtub, making it very difficult to get in and out of the shower. Bathtubs on ships don't make a lot of sense to me. And the ...

First Oceania Cruise Exceeds Expectations

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Insignia

Coming off of a RSSC cruise on Voyager, also in Scandinavia, expectations were high. Oceania, while not the same all-inclusive experience, offered better dining and an altogether better value proposition as well as a more lively crowd. Our PH1 suite, 8030, was extremely well located, quiet, clean, and well maintained though wardrobes and bathroom were a bit small, at 6'3" had to duck to use the ...
