Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Viking Saturn

User Avatar

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

We really wanted to visit Iceland and Ireland. Spain and Portugal were a bonus, especially Barcelona. However our stop to Dublin was cancelled due to rough seas that prevented us boarding the Tenders. Other than that the Saturn was an incredible ship. The crew was A+, the amenities were First Class and the ship was really well laid out for the comfort of the guests. Though we both love ...

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Viking Saturn

The housekeeping staff were awesome. Arvin and Gene were very helpful and always friendly and had a smile. Greeted me by name each time they saw me. The assistant cruise director and Harry were there to play baggo. The wait staff were very friendly and very very good job. The one area I had problems with the cruise was when we signed up for excursions most and the best were already booked. ...

Extraordinary, Says It All

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Star Pride

We chose this cruise as a 50 th wedding anniversary for these reasons: Greenland, a new, fascinating location, Newfoundland, land where my mother was born and my first visit, and my husband and I love the province of Québec and the St. Lawrence and have had great travel experiences there. This was an extraordinary cruise by Windstar. The places visited were a great interest and love for us, ...

Fantastic experience

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

I am perplexed by the negative reviews. The Prima is a beautiful ship with outstanding service and wonderful itineraries. I wouldn’t change a thing about it with the possible exception of an additional entertainment. Be sure to book dinners at some of the specialty restaurants, as they are very good. The main dining rooms offer very good food as well. We enjoyed some of the little surprises we ...

An Amazing 10 Day NCL Prima Cruise!

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

A Wonderful Experience on the NCL Prima in Northern Europe! Our family of three sailed on the Prima Sept. 7 through 17 from Reykjavik Iceland to Southampton in a balcony cabin, mid-ship, deck 15...great location. We had originally booked an inside cabin because of the lower price, but upgraded since we love sitting on a balcony and seeing the world go by. We all agreed it was worth it. The ...

Excellent apart from a few niggles

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Seven Seas Splendor

We chose cruise because of destinations we hadn’t been to, 3 of which were cancelled or changed. We emailed our disappointment but the company didn’t even have the courtesy to reply!! Why on a luxurious ship are there no automatic doors in public places? Other ships have them so it can’t be due to weather conditions. It’s a hygiene issue Biggest niggle is the designated smoking area on deck ...

Crystal Serenity Solo Experience was excellent.

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Crystal Serenity

User Avatar

6-10 Cruises • Age 2020s

I just had the time of my life on this cruise. I am a 60-something widow and this is my first cruise sailing solo since my husband passed. He and I had sailed Crystal six times, on all three ships, and loved it. I chose this cruise because I was happy to see Crystal come back, Iceland is on the bucket list, and, well, it was time to get back out there traveling. I flew to Reykjavik two days ...

The "New" Crystal Serenity Makes a Grand Entrance With a trans-Atlantic crossing to the New World

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Crystal Serenity

The “New” Crystal Serenity comes to the New World in a trans-Atlantic crossing that began in Britain and ended in Quebec. Are you a past Crystal guest who wants to know: What’s different? What’s new? What’s better, what’s worse? If you don’t feel like reading a long report, then you can settle for a one-sentence summary: WITH VERY FEW EXCEPTIONS THE “NEW” CRYSTAL SERENITY IS AS ...

Wonderful Smaller Ship Experience

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

User Avatar

10+ Cruises • Age 50s

We chose the Ovation for its itinerary of Iceland and finishing in Denmark, but we were blown away by the superior service and staff on the ship. We have only cruised on larger lines before (Royal, Holland, Celebrity), and while those ships were nice, this experience was far better. The rooms were huge, the bathrooms were enormous and it was close to feeling like a hotel room rather than a ...

Ship is beautiful, Hotel management is outstanding and the warm friendly attention from the crew make you feel like everyone is family. Food is very good with a great selection of wines and included spirits. Some great expert lectures and the expedition staff are very knowledgeable and caring. They do not market themselves as a “luxury” brand but they do deliver this experience. I ...
