Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is the first cruise ship from brand-new line, Margaritaville at Sea. An extension of the Margaritaville brand built up by singer Jimmy Buffett, the 1,680-passenger Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will be completely refurbished by the time it launches with short two-day cruises between West Palm Beach, Florida, and Freeport in The Bahamas in April 2022.
Margaritaville at Sea Paradise and its cruise line, Margaritaville at Sea, is a partnership with the owners of the former Bahamas Cruise Paradise Line and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.
The singer did tour the ship before the partnership was announced. He is writing a show to debut on the ship.
The deck plans of Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will have plenty to offer Jimmy Buffet fans. Look for the 5 O'Clock Somewhere bar, as well as the Sunset Bar, the Euphoria Lounge and a Landshark Sports Bar. The onboard casino is being renamed Par-A-Dice.
Even wellness spaces on the ship will receive the Jimmy Buffett treatment, with the St. Somewhere spa and Fins Up! fitness center.
Yes, you'll be able to order a cheeseburger from the menu at Margaritaville at Sea Paradise. Other venues include JWB Prime Steak & Seafood (named for Buffett's initials) and Frank and Lola's Pizzeria, a couple mentioned in another Buffett song.
The buffet is being renamed "Port of Indecision," and there will be a Margaritaville-themed coffee and pastry shop onboard to round out the food and beverage options.
Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will sail its maiden voyage April 30, 2022. The godparent has not yet been named but we all know there's an obvious choice.
Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will take over the two-day itineraries between West Palm Beach and Freeport on Grand Bahama Island run by the line's predecessor, Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line. The line is building a Margaritaville at Sea beach club on Grand Bahama Island for the exclusive use of cruise passengers. Both the West Palm Beach and Freeport terminals will also have Margaritaville at Sea signage, with the former offering a car valet service to make embarkation easy.
Passengers who want to combine a land trip with a cruise will find Margaritaville at Sea Paradise a perfect match. The company will continue current cruise and hotel packages with resorts on Grand Bahama Island and also expand with offerings in the U.S. through the popular Margaritaville resorts.
Margaritaville has resorts in Hollywood Beach, Florida as well as Orlando and other locations within Florida and nearby states. Look for packages coming soon.
Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will carry 1,680 passengers and have 600 crew. The ship is the former Grand Classica, run by Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line. Before that, the ship was Costa's neoClassica. Gross tonnage is 52,926.
