Marella Explorer 2 has a total of 907 cabins, of which nearly 40 per cent have balconies, located from Deck 4 to 12. All cabins were refurbished when the ship was updated, including carpets, fixtures and fitting and furnishings.

All cabins contain tea and coffee making facilities, a safe, mini-bar, hair dryer, flat-screen TV, two single beds that can be turned into a Queen-size double, a writing desk/vanity with drawers, a double wardrobe and two bedside tables with lamps.

Bathrooms are equipped with a minimum of a shower with glass door, a toilet and a sink, with some storage space for toiletries, and a soap dispenser.

A selection of accessible cabins are located on Deck 5, behind reception, and single cabins for solo travellers are also available. Four-berth cabins are available, with extra fold-down beds or sofa beds available in all cabin types.

Interior: Inside Cabins are all 16 square metres windowless cabins with a mirrors above the bed. Interior cabins are available on decks 4, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 12.

A number of Inside cabins, located on Deck 5, are reserved for solo travellers, with a single bed inside.

Oceanview: Exactly the same as Interior cabins, but with a square or porthole-style window above the bed. Oceanview cabins are available on decks 4, 5, 8, 9 and 12.

A number of Oceanview cabins, located on Deck 5, are reserved for solo travellers, with a single bed inside.

Balcony: These cabins are the same size as Interior and Oceanview cabins, but with a balcony with an outdoor table and two chairs. Balcony cabins are located on decks 8, 9, 10 and 12.

There's also a Deluxe Balcony category, located on Deck 8, 9 and 10, with Balcony at 19 square metres that includes a sofa and a partition screen to separate the bedroom from the extra space of the living area.

Junior Suite with Balcony: These 23 square metre cabins feature bathrooms with a shower over a bath, with the exception of cabins 1200 and 1201 that only have showers.

Junior Suite passengers also have the added benefit of Premium Service, which includes express check in, free pressing service (up to three items per person in the first 24 hours onboard) and one complimentary continental breakfast in bed.

All Junior Suites are located on Deck 10 and 12.

Executive Suite: These 46 square metre suites feature a separate living and bedroom area and in the bathroom a shower over a bath, as well as a walk-in shower. All Executive Suites are located on Deck 10 and include Premium Service.

Royal Suite: The largest cabin in the fleet measures at 94 square metres and is the only cabin to feature a King-sized bed. The separate living area contains a large sofa bed, two armchairs with foot stools, two further chairs and coffee table. There's also a separate dining room, containing six seats around a glass-top dining room table and a separate dressing area.

The wraparound balcony features a whirlpool.

The Royal Suite feels plush -- more luxurious than anywhere else onboard the ship -- with wood panelling and stylish leather furniture, more opulent upholstery also sets it apart.
