Part of Grand Circle Cruise Line's fleet of European river vessels, the 120-passenger Bizet sails exclusively on the Seine in France. Constructed in 2002, the ship was fully refurbished in 2013, and sails between Paris and Normandy.
The ship has 60 river-facing staterooms which are situated across two decks. All cabins measure 160 square feet and have two fixed single beds -- there are no doubles -- and one or both can be converted into sofas in the daytime.
The cabins on the lower Alto Deck have fixed windows, which do not open, and the accommodations on the upper Soprano Deck have 16-square-foot balconies. All cabins feature air conditioning, TV with movies, radio, safe and hair dryer. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower.
Public areas are situated on the Soprano Deck, with a panoramic lounge and bar overlooking the front of the ship and an open-seating restaurant at the back. The reception area and library are also on this deck. Fares include house beer, house wine and soft beverages throughout the day.
The ship has an elevator and offers free W-Fi. Cruises are accompanied by three English-speaking program directors and the majority of passengers are from North America. Grand Circle offers a roommate-matching service for solo travelers.
Bizet sails on the Seine: Paris to Normandy itinerary, which begins and ends in the French capital. Ports of call on this 12-night sailing include Conflans, Vernon, Giverny, Les Andelys, Rouen, Honfleur and the Normandy D-Day landing beaches. Grand Circle offers pre- and post-trip extensions in Paris, the Loire Valley and Brittany.
The ship measures 367 feet and carries 120 passengers at full occupancy with 30 crew members.
