Hurtigruten's newest ship -- Norway Explorer -- comes into service during the winter season of 2016-17.
The 320-passenger ship will replace Midnatsol, plying the Norwegian coastline from Bergen to Kirkenes, beyond the Arctic Circle. Midnatsol will join Fram in Antarctica.
Norway Explorer will be refurbished and fitted with an ice-strengthened hull before entering service, as well as engine adjustments to make it more environmentally friendly.
Details of what the ship's interior will look like are limited, only that there will be 180 cabins.
The 7,025-ton ship brings the Norway-based line's fleet to 13 vessels.
