Iberian Delights, lived up to the usual smooth operation one would expect from Marella, embarkation was smooth and efficient, less than 10 mins from dockside to our cabin which was well equipped the bathroom had fluffy towels, hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel, the cabin was very clean and roomy, plenty of space for clothes and suitcases, tea, coffee making facilities, replenished daily by our cabin boy Aldrin who was always helpful and friendly. Dining, we ate in the dining room every evening, the menu was varied well presented and on the whole offered enough of a choice that even those who like to complain should have been catered for. Breakfast and lunch were also exceptional afternoon tea was a lovely treat, the words spoilt for choice spring to mind. Overnight sailings meant that there was plenty of time to experience all the on board entertainment on offer. As to shore excursions a really great itinerary from start to finish, and the bonus is only one sea day, the only hiccup was the tender operation for Portimao which due to sea conditions and the fact that everyone seemed to have the same idea as to their timetable for going ashore caused a few people to get a little agitated.(I still think a simple register with time slots bookable the day before would be a simple solution to this problem). We will certainly be sailing with Marella cruises again in the very near future. Read Less

Booked this as a quick break before Christmas,as we live 15 minutes from the port it is ideal, Boarding quick and easy on board with in 10 minutes, boarded early afternoon for a eight o'clock sailing First impressions, ship smaller than we are used to , pools didn't have any water to begin with so took advantage of jacuzzi, afterwards were too busy with young children and babies Cabin very good size more room than usual plenty of storage space etc Really think they should upgrade bedding as looking warn and not as white as should be Restaurant irían good for breakfast and dinner Special Indian Thai restaurant good food and value Plenty of different bars with music, quite corners if you wanted, Always managed to get a seat. Drinks included in the price were good and you could upgrade if you wanted We didn't get involved in actives but there seemed to be enough to do As only four days first stop was Cadiz with is a nice and easy city to walk around Shame it was a cold and windy day. Next was Lanzarote a quick car hire and trip to the fire mountain, Always works out as cheap to hire a car and do it under your own steam Disembarking in Tenerife was again easy and no rush Summary all in all a good trip and great value for money Will see what Marcella have from Malaga next year Read Less

Really great transatlantic cruise from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale. We were in a balcony cabin that seemed to have a little more space which we definetly liked. Very clean and a lot of fun activities throughout the cruise. Alejandro was a fantastic and funny Cruise Director. Entertainment started off a little slow, but it improved and got better as we continued our itinerary. Food was really good and dining room service was excellent. The Captain greeted us when we started the cruise and bid us a farewell at the end of the cruise as well. My wife and I were amazed to see the Captain & staff participate in activities during the sailing. They were all very visible and approachable. The "Beyond The Podium" speakers did an exceptional job. This was a special cruise for us. The only thing that was disappointing for my wife and I, were the ports of Agadir, Morocco and Lanzarote, Canary Islands. Not to exciting for us. Other than that, we really enjoyed ourselves. My husband and I have travelled a lot. Approximately 30 cruises. 20 on Princess then decieded to give the other cruise lines a chance. This was our second Azamara cruise and we thouroughly enjoyed it. We ate at the speciality restaurants and signed up for the new Asian dinner as well as the Chef"s Table. Food was delicious. Highly recommend it. We had a great time in the Disco most evenings getting to know the staff and fellow cruisers. We enjoyed the white night the most. Eric and the other performers were fantastic. Loved the music. Never did so much dancing. Relaxing by the pool during the day without many announcments was nice. Very relaxing. We have booked our 3,4 and 5 cruise with Azamara. I quess we are converted. Great staff, I cannot say enough on how the made you feel like family. See you in April 2016. Read Less

This was our first cruise to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and my 50th birthday. liked the look of the itinerary and the dates were perfect. booked an outside plus cabin as I had read standard cabins were a bit cramped ,wasn't disappointed we had 478, couldn't fault it at all, and tess and julius worked so hard to keep it spotless for the whole trip and amazed us each night with a different towel animal left on your bed. food was excellent in seven seas and four seasons, we never had a bad meal, and the French bistro was out of this world and well worth the extra cover charge. I wasn't that keen on the buffet restaurants on deck 10 as they felt a bit like a canteen but were ok for lunch as close to the sun beds when chilling. Entertainment was the best we've ever had on a holiday and was a joy to watch, looked forward to it ever night. The whole crew were great and couldn't do enough for you and we made some excellent friends whilst on board , everyone was so friendly its like one big happy family. we didn't bother with the drinks package as not big drinkers and prices were reasonable on board anyway, same as pub prices back home. we made the most of day trips when in port and did four organised excursions which can be a bit expensive and tiring , so did our own thing at other stops, and there was so much to do whilst on board you struggled to fit it all in. would we go again.............. definitely yes already looking to book the next one.
