This was my first time to cruise with Regent and was unimpressed. On the whole the service was good but felt they had a lot of new staff being trained.
The suite was a good size, as was the bathroom, separate shower and a full size bath which unfortunately was too narrow to use. The floor leaked and they seemed to have no idea how to rectify it. We eventually had to change suites as ...
Loved seeing antarctica. we booked as former fans of regent after 5 previous trips. The voyager is a nice boat with fun circular pool bar where we have enjoyed meeting many friends on past trips. however, the boat is looking somewhat shabby and needs a rehab to put it back to 5 star status. while the staff people are great, they seemed stressed/training mode now, from what we observed (lack of ...
Chose this cruise as we had wanted to visit the Falkland Islands, and see Antarctica. Was unsure if a true expedition cruise would be too challenging, however, in the end would much have preferred a true expedition experience (with use of Zodiacs, etc). We chose Regent as we had travelled on the Splendor in 2021, and had a positive experience throughout the Mediterranean and trans ...
Beautiful ship, fabulous staff, wonderful cuisine, elegant suite. The Butler and Stewards were very attentive. We were fortunate on this leg, as with the previous one, in having thoroughly delightful weather.
Our stop in Montevideo was especially memorable. What a gorgeous city! The tour was well conducted by a very articulate guide, and the stops along the way were timed well to give ...
This review focuses on what the cruise line has under its control, that is the “hotel” and restaurant.
As an introduction, we have sailed with Regent before as well as other luxury branded lines such as Seaborne, Silversea, Ritz Carlton
Regent really knows their audience, elderly Americans, and to be fair they do serve this target audience very well. This does however have an impact on those ...
We had been on Regent Seven Seas Navigator before and had a great cruise. Everything was perfect, so when this cruise came up from Miami to Miami on Mariner into the Amazon, we booked the trip and looked so much forward to go. But already the first evening there was problems to go into the restaurant. They didn't have enough seat for people and we had to wait, for quite some time. It happened more ...
Chosen because of itinerary. We usually cruise with Seabourn. The ship is showing its age especially in the bathroom which was dark and shabby. I am sure the newer ships are better. Our CD was ineffectual and did not interact with passegers. There were no activities on deck although the weather was perfect. Ghastly white mattresses on sunbeds made it look like a sanatorium. The included tours ...
The activities and events wholly and exclusively on board ship were excellent. The staff / crew were very good, the exceptions being new staff who were still learning their roles but these were few and far between. I enjoyed the food and drink available as part of the all inclusive cost of the cruise and didn't feel the need to spend anything additional.
Unfortunately, everything that was not ...
This was our first Regent cruise, and we selected it based on the itinerary, which covered Southern Africa, a transatlantic leg, and Rio to Buenos Aires. Regent was a favorite cruise line of acquaintances of ours, so we had high expectations.
Pre-cruise, I read the reviews from passengers and started to have some concerns. But since the itinerary was so compelling, I set aside the various ...
We chose Regents for our 20th wedding anniversary trip. We heard it was the best.
We had one of their best suited and lost a full nights sleep the first night on board because there were exhaust fumes coming in our room from a faulty system plus the front door didn’t actually close completely and rattled all night, plus, plus, plus. It was a hellish night.
They can and fixed everything ...
